We had both the dried and soup version and I can say that I prefer the dried version. The soup version wasn't bad, just my preference. The spaciness level that we got was the mid level and I find them to be quite pleasantly numbing and I think I could go the full 5th level, just that the ingredients would just be overwhelmed by the spiciness of the Szechuan peppercorn. That by itself isn't too pleasant as the numbing of the mouth would also call for slightly more salt to be added to punch through the effect. I don't quite like the dumplings though. Within an area filled with students I find the price to be acceptable but could've been lower but they do provide a free cone of soft serve ice cream with every main bowl ordered.

I recently had dinner here and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. One of the dishes we ordered—the tofu with fishcake—was clearly spoiled. We informed the staff, and while they did offer a replacement, they gave us the same dish again, which was also spoiled. It’s concerning that food in questionable condition wasn’t immediately discarded.

To make matters worse, another person in our group waited over 30 minutes for their food, only to find out later that it had already been cooked but was mislabeled and left sitting out at room temperature. When it was finally brought out, the food was cold.

Throughout all of this, there was no apology or acknowledgment from the staff.

My first time coming here. You choose your fresh food and let them cook for you in either spicy mala flavor or tomato soup flavor. There are many varieties of seafood, meat, vegetables, tofu, noodles and more. Price is based on the total weight of the raw ingredients, regardless of type. Cooking takes a while. I chose the spicy mala flavor. It was dry, spicy, flavorful, but unfortunately overly salty. Would be a good combination with plain rice (which they don't serve). Prices are averagely high.
