This was a mixed experience. But first of all, stay away from this waterfront area, it's a big tourist trap. Now for the restaurant review - congratulations to the kitchen staff as they are doing an excellent job with the really tasty food. The waiters were also good although they seemed a bit inexperienced. The really big downside was the attitude of the manager. The person in charge of the restaurant was creating a really bad vibe, the waiters were all nervous because of him, he was yelling and talking with us and everyone on an annoyed tone. We were two people that went for lunch at 6:30 pm and the terrace was empty, still they gave us a small table on the side as they said that we don't have reservations and that all the other tables are booked. We ate in less than 2h and only 2 tables came by then. We wanted to share so we ordered only 5 starters for 2 people. After our waiter left, the manager came and told us that these are really big portions and it's too much for 2 people so we should order only 4 starters. We listened to him as we thought he knew his restaurant. The fact was that the portions were normal starters portions. We heard them talking and actually their concerns were that not all plates will fit on the table that is why they advised us to take less .. We managed without the 5th starters but with it would have been better ... When we wanted dessert they took our order and then the waiter came to tell us that they no Ionger have it and it really seemed like they were trying to get rid of us... Overall we spent 100 euros there so it was no way I could understand their attitude. The main point is that advice is appreciated when it is true so refrain from giving it with hidden reasons AND having one manager ruining the mood of the staff and clients when your kitchen is that good, is...
Read moreWhenever you go to port restaurants, you expect extraordinary seafood. Unfortunately, most of the time, it’s very average, and sadly, this place was no exception. The service was also quite ordinary. Even though the restaurant was empty, instead of letting us choose a table with a waterfront view, we were seated at a spot with no view at all, right next to a speaker from a neighboring restaurant. As a result, our entire dinner was accompanied by a cacophony of sounds from three different establishments.
The beef salad was edible, but it’s a shame the peppers were completely soft and unappetizing. The entire salad had been pre-mixed with dressing, which made it soggy and overly soaked in oil. For starters, we had garlic bread with cheese and honey—this was actually the best part of the meal.
The seafood platter, however, was a major letdown, which is disappointing given that we were in a seaside town where you’d naturally expect...
Read moreThe place is nice but our experience wasn't a good one. Our Server was really nice but the food was really not what we expected. Our starters were a real disappointment. Bruschetta was just toasted bread with some diced tomato on top. Nachos - just some heated cheese and a small amount of jalapenos. The ristotto was under seasoned and overcooked. Our pasta was really under done and the taste of the truffle paste was overpowering. The service was a bit poor as the plates from our starters stood there for 20mins with several servers passing by but the plates stillstayed there. We had to call for a sever almost all the time to collect plates or to ask for drinks or even to ask for desserts. With all the good reviews we all seen here we were really expecting a really amazing night but we were all disappointed cause we all expected to eat exquisite food from the restaurant and not be presented with food that we can cook much...
