This place is fantastic and unique! The food was displayed amazingly, especially the French toast which I highly recommend. The plate came out covered in candy floss, and underneath revealed a beautifully presented plate of French toasts with lots of yummy bits. These included various fruits and sauces, and it wasn’t too sweet, which was perfect. We also ordered the halloumi salad, which had so much colour and texture, with beetroot hummus and pitta bread extras adding to the delightful presentation.

Additionally, we ordered the chicken bites, which were also amazing and filled with flavour. The dish had many pieces, making it perfect for sharing. We tried both the normal and halloumi fries, which were delicious. All of which we shared amongst 3 adults, and it was so delicious and filling, we didn’t need to eat for the rest of the day. I couldn’t recommend the food enough!

The staff were great too. We were kindly given three tokens to use in their jukebox, which was so much fun. We spent time choosing classic 70’s and 80’s songs, which played in the restaurant and added to the lively atmosphere.

Recently I had the pleasure of enjoying brunch at a charming spot that exceeded all expectations. From the moment I arrived, the welcoming atmosphere and modern decor set the stage for a delightful meal. The menu offered an impressive variety of dishes, yet the star of the show was undoubtedly the waffle tower. This innovative dish featured layers of perfectly crispy and tender waffles, complemented by just the right amount of sweetness and a hint of savory flavor. Each bite was a satisfying blend of textures and tastes that left me wanting more.

The presentation was impeccable, making the waffle tower as visually appealing as it was delicious. The staff were friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable dining experience. The overall ambiance was relaxed and inviting, perfect for a leisurely brunch with friends or family. I truly appreciated the care and creativity that went into every aspect of the meal.

I really enjoyed my visit today at Word of Mouth in Sliema. I asked Oleg, who was taking my order, to recommend a cake and he suggested the carrot cake (€5) and it was great. It was moist, rich in flavour and topped beautifully. I also went for the banana bread (€4) which was just as good, with a lovely texture and natural sweetness. To go with it, I ordered a double espresso (€2.70) which was strong and perfectly balanced.

The atmosphere inside is peaceful and really well designed, it’s stylish, cosy and has a unique charm to it. There’s also an outdoor area which is ideal for sunny Maltese days, but I chose to stay inside, and it was calm and relaxing.

Oleg was very friendly and helpful throughout, and his service definitely made the experience even better. It’s also great to see that they offer vegan and vegetarian options, so there’s something for everyone. You can check the options on the photos I’m attaching to the review (Menu)
