Out for an afternoon stroll around Valletta and found this little pavement café and restaurant at the foot of a steep street. Nice terraced area outside with sun shades and views over the sea to be had. A pint of Cisk was the drink of choice – excellent as always. Opted to try the beef tagliata – this comprised lovely strips of medium-rare steak on a bed of salad leaf with cherry tomatoes. The steak was very well cooked and overall, this was a very fresh and light meal. Small bowl of chips on the side – probably just the right amount. Didn’t have pudding but there was some lovely looking cakes inside, including a homemade tiramisu, which can never be a bad thing. Single toilet inside, with step down. Restaurant itself seemed quite popular with tourists – understandable, given its location. Would eat here again. A good choice.

2.3 stars. 4 stars for good food, 1 star for service and 4.5 stars for atmosphere. Our server was not very friendly with us and almost acted annoyed we were there. It was off season in November and not all that busy. I loved everything else about this place but we were not made to feel welcome. I was polite and friendly and wished for the same in return. Strange. It was lunchtime and the wait was short, the weather was gorgeous and the outdoor patio area was superb. I also found it bewildering that when I asked for cappuccino that I was informed that I was told it wasn’t available at Lunch time. Huh? Only place that told us that on Malta. So I had to go to another restaurant and get coffee to go while we waited for our food. I loved the food and view but probably wouldn’t return.

Sicilia Restaurant in Valletta is a real gem, with a charming terrace and relaxed atmosphere that’s perfect for enjoying authentic Italian-Mediterranean cuisine. Dishes like fresh seafood pasta, tender beef tagliata, and traditional rabbit are full of flavor and beautifully prepared, all at prices that feel very fair for the quality. The portions are generous, the location is excellent just steps from the city’s main attractions, and the staff are welcoming and attentive, making the whole dining experience both warm and memorable. A must-visit spot in Valletta for anyone who loves good food and a friendly atmosphere.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I asked the waiter if they had a table for 2, which they did, however the waiter said they are full. We proceeded to sit down at a table we found but they proceeded to act like we weren’t there. We raised our hand, said excuse me but they completely disregarded us. They went to hand menus to the table that sat down after us. We raised our hands again and attempted to get their attention but still nothing. They even went to serve the group of people that waited after us. Absolutely disgusting by the waiters. Would definitely not recommend this place. We ended up getting up and leaving. FYI I am of black decent which I believe was...
