The Bagel Hole — Restaurant in Valletta

Cute hole in the wall. There were only 2 people working (1 was sick and working without mask or gloves although they washed their hands) it was very awkward as the sick person kept being rude to their colleague.

1 Bagel took 20mins to prepare (I didn't understand when there was only 2 people in front of me ordering the vegan/vege options.

Anyway, I ordered the Bec with an Iced Latte. The latte was probably the worst I've ever had! When I opened up my Bagel I saw that the bacon was burnt (as in charcoal) and they did not remove the baking paper underneath the omelette! I returned to the store for a refund and the sick employee was complaining she's sick and gave me a cash refund as they had lost my card recipet (in the space of 10mins!)lucky I had my copy. Not worth the €11.50 go...

Had a bad service experience which was surprising as the times I've visited before it wasn't so bad. I'll make a detailed review so that hopefully they can fix their issues. There were two employees present, one seemed to not know the electronic system or menu, but was friendly and smiling. The other seemed more experienced; but after I'd been standing waiting a while for my turn she didn't greet me but just asked if I was ready to order. Then when I said what I wanted she asked if I was hungry(???) A really strange comment. Then to top it off she made a mistake on the order. She offered to make another bagel for me, but at that point I was ready to go. As I was leaving another customer entered and was greeted enthusiastically and politely. 3,5 I would rate this place. Cute place in nice area, I love the idea, love the design, but every time don’t have few things from the menu. Bagels are good, but not enough filling. I didn’t even feel the taste of salmon in it because there was much more onion and capers than fish. For 10 euro could be more salmon. Also it’s not nice to see when chef is eating (not trying food, but just eating something else) while preparing food for you and then having working aprons on goes out and enter another building without changing. Something I wouldn’t like to see. Will try again this place and hopefully can change my rating :) Also I would suggest please make laptop free space, I came few times and couldn’t even have a coffee because of people with laptops, place is too small for...
