GRANA restaurant in Valletta is a must-visit for anyone seeking an exceptional dining experience in Malta. The food is top-notch, with generous portions and superb quality that will leave your taste buds begging for more. The seafood dishes are particularly noteworthy and are sure to impress even the most discerning of palates. In addition to the delicious food, the wine selection is good, although there were a few items that were not available during our visit. Nevertheless, the available options were more than enough to complement our meal perfectly. The ambiance at GRANA is lovely, with a relaxed yet sophisticated atmosphere that is perfect for a romantic evening out or a special occasion with family and friends. The staff are attentive and knowledgeable, always on hand to offer recommendations and ensure that your dining experience is nothing short of exceptional. The only downside was that the toilets were not very clean, which was a bit disappointing. However, we hope that the management will take note of this feedback and make improvements for the future. Overall, we had a wonderful experience at GRANA restaurant in Valletta, and we would definitely return and recommend it to anyone visiting Malta. The exceptional food, great wine selection, and attentive staff make it a must-visit for any foodie or lover of seafood.

Over charged. Awful service. Terrible breakfast. Went in for breakfast on 9th Oct 2025. Ordered the full English with tea. Polite young lady serving but her use of English was very poor and this became an issue when I needed to complain. This review probably depends on your view of what a full English breakfast should be. The bacon is streaky and cooked to a crisp. It was cold. Sausages. Tiny little dried out sausages that were just over an inch long. Eggs were overcooked and one of them was broken and solid. Little pot of beans. Mushrooms were good. Hash browns very greasy. The toast was a Tony single slice of sourdough. Maybe two bites. Had to ask for butter and milk. Explained to the server that the breakfast wasn’t good. Did this twice but it was a wasted effort as she could not understand me. I was then overcharged €12.50 for the breakfast. The menu shows it as €11.50 and the website at €9 !!! Very unimpressed.

I entered asking for a table. The waitress tells me that I have to wait 40 min. Fine, it’s okay. I ordered linguine allo scoglio, clams had a bit of sand in it( it can happen tough) but the bad thing is the service, not very welcoming. For example I ask for a glass of wine, then I go to toilet and I find my glass there. I haven’t tried the wine and I wasn’t asked if I wanted the wine served with my meal or not( considering the wait) result the wine was warm when linguine arrived. I thought I didn’t have to specify it. In Italy they asked how was your meal? Everything good? But nothing. Not a smile. It was very very cold. Waiters Training needed here. Overall linguine was just okay definitely not worth the price. the sand was very bad. P.s if a dish looks good doesn’t mean it’s delicious as well! Also I could have to do the dish again but I didn’t want to wait more.

We went here, sight unseen, for a light lunch. It was indeed a light lunch because I was unable to eat much of mine. From the outset, it seemed as if this place specialised in the tasteless. The bread was claggy and unappetising. The wine (Pinot Grigio), though generous in amount, tasted as though it had been watered down. My partner's risotto was a good sized helping, but more or less tasteless. My own dish, a caesar salad with 'breaded chicken' was more bread than chicken and what chicken there was, was tough. The sort of tough that after 30 or so chews, you just give up and swallow. The waitress asked how everything was and I told her my chicken was tough. She said she'd report it to the kitchen but seemed as though she couldn't give a flying toss. There was no apology, even for form's sake - nothing seemed to register. I left most of it on my plate, which is going it some because I'll eat most things. I'm leaving this review because our experience was so out of line with all these positive reviews I see here. Maybe the chef was off duty for the afternoon, maybe it was an off day. But given the fact that across the board, the most positive thing you could say about anything we were sold was 'meh', I'd say something is...

This place had good reviews so we were expecting great things, however we were very disappointed. The service was very slow with our main meals taking almost 1 hour to arrive. We had to chase where the food was as people on the table next to us who ordered after us had their food and finished it before ours even arrived. When it eventually arrived the bolognese was tasty but the gluten free bolognese was luke warm. The side salad and bruschetta was also disappointing. When we complained about the wait time the employee was not at all apologetic and advised that it took so long as everything is cooked fresh. I don’t think this is the case, as I can’t see them cooking every bolognese from scratch for each order. They also advised that it only takes 20 minutes to cook but that as it was busy that’s why it took even longer. However, the restaurant was not very busy at all as it was past the main lunch rush hour. A small discount was given after asking for the food delay but the attitude to the...
