A cute little beach for locals and tourists surrounded by a handful of restaurants and gift shops. Depending on where you “land”, you will be approached by different lounge chair owners and offered one of the above deals: 1. Pay $150 pesos for loungers per day, 2. Pay nothing for the loungers as long as you buy food or drink with the restaurant. We chose the latter. They brought us the menu and we saw that at this place (the snack bar the farthest on the right of the beach) it was written on the menu that we have to buy food or drinks equaling $630 pesos in order to receive our “free” loungers. Well, we didn’t end up ordering the food for that much (it was $540), but they added up some “tax” on top of $75. What a scam. We will be definitely returning to this beach but will try other places for loungers. I’d rather pay then be obligated to buy overpriced food. Note that al restaurants don’t have the same or even similar prices for food. For example our place sold nachos with chicken for $330 pesos while the place next to it has them for $170. So walk around and compare prices. Also bungee jump: the guy will tell you $25US per person but you can get it for much less, just bargain. Note about toilets: one toilet is free of charge and another one belongs to Ultramar ferry so there you’d...

After done with Langosta beach, we headed towards Tortugas beach. It is 2 km far from Langosta beach towards south and more knowns for Isla Mujeres ferry and Bungee Jumping.
While entering the beach, lots of restaurant staff will bother you to use their service. As this is a very small beach with one small hill, not much area to explore, we decided to sit in one restaurant. I am not sure of even name of the restaurant. we ordered their mango margarita, local beer and their catch of the day fish. Fish was great and so was their mango margarita. Beach- as I said, there is not much are to explore, I was wondering why people even swimming on this beach with so less space. There was one pier where bungee jumping was happening. Also, Isla Mujeres ferry departs from here.
Can come for actions but...
Read morePlease, do not follow Google Maps if you want to enjoy your day. I think the beach on Google maps is not public. You will have to walk 15-20 minutes to get to some other beach or 30 minutes to get to Playa Tortugas where (most) the pictures are from. And let me tell you, we have tried all of the well-known beaches in Cancun (we literally spent hours walking) and the actual Playa Tortugas was really not good (too many people, not very clean, etc.). I actually think it was one of the worst beaches we visited. See the screenshot where you can find...
