Family was spending a week in Cancun at a resort in the hotel zone. We wanted to go into town and find some local market to do some shopping and mix with the locals. Cheester was right across the street from a local park that also has an evening market with food and stands. It was our second visit here, first one was before COVID and this one was after. We are a large family with 5 kids and so finding a place that satisfy’s a variety of needs is always great. The wood fired pizza’s are big and will feed 2-3 and plates of pasta are the same, feeding 2-3. This lets us eat family style with everyone getting variety. They make amazing smoothies that the kids love as well. Seating outside and inside is good and the facilities are very clean. After dinner we walked around the market and took in the local scene. We hired a van to take us to the restaurant and just road the bus back to the resort. Super easy and fun, we would recommend it to anyone staying at a resort in Cancun that wants to get out of the resort zone and take in some of the...

The vendors are very friendly and try to communicate with you even though they don't speak English very much. They have carts that sell dessert too, so check it out if you can. Not particularly healthy, but hey, if you're on vacation,...
Read moreWhat a great locals hangout for family and community to come together. They have many food carts with churros and fried bananas etc. lining the outskirts of this park like plaza. They have at least 14 different food restaurants they open from 6-12am during the week. They have little battery operated and remote control operated sports cars for the little ones to drive around in while mom and dad enjoy some socializing. While visiting downtown Cancun we stopped by here a couple times to eat, buy from vendors and just enjoy the...
