La chilaqueria — Restaurant in Jalisco

If you love chilaquiles like me, this is your place. Tricolor cholaquiles are good but normal flavor, nothing different, cholaquiles sonorita are amaizing if you like mirror, they are not oily at all, they are simple buy really good. They give you refried beans (pinto) which I love♡ The tropical smoothie is really good too. I went with my husband who is blond, we spoke English and myself Spanish all the time since I'm Mexican and I was talking in Spanish all the time (making my husband to practice his spanish too) When my husband went to the restroom the server came to me and kept talking in English when I was talking to her all the time in Spanish 100% (not Spanglish)- and she kept going.... so, still i said : gracias and finally she answered in Spanish: de nada I thought this situation was...

Amazing food on the second floor of a street in zona Romantica. Our server Enrique was super friendly and spoke to us in English and Spanish. Got the passion fruit margarita (big portion), fish tostada, tuna montadito with mango and habanero and lobster tacos. First off the bat, I'm not exactly sure if lobsters are native to the waters here, our lobster tacos came out piping hot, but these were some of the smallest tacos I've seen, especially when compared to everything else we ordered. The fish ceviche on the tostada and montadito were super super fresh and served in generous portions. Avocados and all the veggies inside were fresh too. This is 2 restaurants in one so I decided to come in the morning and night and when I tell you they DID NOT LET ME DOWN!!!

Breakfast: I went as soon as they opened. The service was fast and friendly. The food didn't take long at all to come out. Everything was freshly made from the beans, eggs and fruit. As we were finishing breakfast they were starting to get a crowd.

Dinner: This place was jam-packed for dinner and I can tell why. The food was delicious. I love that they give you a variety of salsas and they def had a spicy kick to them. The margarita was STRONG. The tortillas were homemade and perfect.
