Been going here for years as impeccable service and quality of food On 3/12/24 we went there 3 hours early so made reservations for 6:30pm. We got there at 6:30 and got put upstairs to enjoy dinner and sunset. We sat down and were right away greeted and asked what would like to drink. We asked for glass of ice water. Received a very awkward look from waiter. Felt very disrespected. He never returned with glass of ice water. We had to ask 2 other waiters and finally after 15 minutes we got our ice water Seeing the sun was setting soon we asked to hold off on the ordering. Waiter came and took our order which was coconut shrimp for both of us as this is by far the best coconut shrimp in downtown. When meal arrived. We were both surprised to see that we only received shrimp and mashed potatoes. In past you got veggies toast and potatoes. However the shrimp was delicious as usual but the potatoes were very cold. We waited for waiter to come by and ask us how meal was. He never did. When removing plates he still never asked us how meal was. The service has gone down hill tremendously. Because of the service we received we will not return. When leaving restaurant we asked the guy at podium to let us know what the shrimp came with. He said 4 months ago they stopped serving veggies and bread with the coconut shrimp. We've been coming here for over 8 years now. We visit PV two or three times a year and it's our go-to hang out place by the beach and our favorite place for dinners on the top terrace floor overlooking the water. They have excellent seafood and a variety of drink options. My partner likes to order the bucket of beer and I love their lime margaritas. Our kids love their pina coladas and frozen daquiris. We've had three b-day dinners here and have even gotten a little intoxicated with adults friends here (no kids around) and they have put our unopened beers away and given us a ticket stating how many beers we paid for and still have left for our next visit.

Our favorite dishes are: the "mariscada" that is a large tray with grilled red snapper, fried shrimp, octopus in a red sauce, fried fish and all of the trimmings. The 1 pound (1/2 kilo) lobster dish, the grilled red snapper dish (pescado zarandeado), the fish ceviche, and the shrimp and octopus cocktail.
