I’ll save you some time and energy: don’t bother coming to this Boicot location.
My wife and I love this “Muy Muy Cacahuate” drink (Cold brew + peanut butter + milk + Oaxacan chocolate). Unfortunately, this is the closest Boicot location to us, and they make it such a chore to order here.
Unreliable opening times:
Their operating hours seem more like a suggestion than a commitment. Case in point: They advertise a 7am Sunday opening, but come 8am, they’re just setting up. Even attempts for a simple coffee to-go are met with a curt “we don’t have service” – no empathy, no estimated wait time.
After being denied service, I found refuge at Tierra Garat next door. Quick, efficient, and no drama.
No tip, even slower service: I’ve observed a curious trend. Order a drink to-go and refrain from tipping, you might find yourself waiting a good 15-20 minutes and/or get the wrong drink. On the rare occasion I did tip? My drink was ready in under 5. Coincidence?
Dine-In Delays: If you choose to dine in, ensure you have plenty of time. I mean plenty. Service is leisurely at best. Average time between ordering and getting food is 30 minutes and another 20 minutes to get someone to bring you the payment terminal.
Price vs. Value: While the food and drinks are undeniably tasty, with such inconsistent service, it becomes a question of whether it’s worth the premium price and hassle or your...
Read moreFirst bad experience with this chain. Bad is quite the understatement, it was horrible. We typically visit the cafe in Condesa and have even given it positive reviews in the past. We waited almost two hours for our food, we regret being too understanding and patient and should’ve just walked out after 15 min. 15 min to take order. Another 15 to bring beverages. 45 min passed and nothing, nor did tables around us got food. Then they bring out a wrong plate and proceed to ask if we don’t mind taking it since it’s gonna add time. What? My daughter was starving so she took it. We all waited another 15 min before we got up to ask/complain. The sever (no manager present today) didn’t apologize but did offer explanation: people didn’t show up and one person only in the kitchen. Here, the “kitchen” is a corner area with a few panini grills and such. Hardly a kitchen, and of course no exhaust system so we were smoked up in here. Disappointed in the experience and more disappointed that we let it get that far. There were literally a dozen cafes/shops in that same street within two minutes walking distance. Hope it was a one off but probably won’t be back to this...
Read moreOk, so I came here a lot to get work done. It's got some big PROs and some big CONs. I am rounding my review up because the staff were largely nice to me and I spent a lot of time there.
Pros: SOME food and drink is very good. In particular I really liked the juices -- not too sweet. I also enjoyed the lumberjack waffle. Nice, open space with good internet and outlets. Reliable for working or playing around on your phone/computer. Overall nice vibes/decor
Cons: Some stuff is very miss on the menu. The reuben is like $16 USD and pretty mediocre. The russian dressing was neon orange, not milky/creamy like a normal russian dressing. Related to the previous, a tiny diet coke is 35 pesos (not even one normal 12 fl oz can). Stuff is a little pricey. I don't mind because I used the space for hours but I think because it's a little hit and miss on the quality, I feel its worth mentioning.
Overall not a bad spot, just some disappointing menu items and a little pricey but you get a very spacious setting to...
