We had such a delightful stay at Nima. Upon arrival we were greeted by friendly staff and welcomed into a beautiful home. We enjoyed a delicious drink at check-in and taken to our beautiful room, which was very quiet and just off the top floor terrace — the De la Lama room. The house is historic and without an elevator and there are narrow steps to the top floor room which is something to consider for those with mobility issues. Staff kindly brought our bags up to our room. The terrace room is remote and quiet and has beautiful windows that let in lots of light, but there are blackout shades for sleeping in. The room is small, but fine for two people. The terrace is an excellent place to unwind after a day of sightseeing. It has lots of comfortable seating with a combination of small tables and sofas and lots of flowers, greenery, a fountain and an honor bar. The house location is perfect, along a quaint tree-lined street and just down the street from Panadería Rosetta and Rosetta Restaurant. We had wonderful meals at both locations, but get a reservation early for Rosetta restaurant. Staff were helpful at making reservations for us at restaurants but we made reservations for Rosetta far in advance of our trip. Everyone at Nima was very helpful at giving recommendations on places to visit and created an overall warm and welcoming atmosphere. After visiting the Museo Casa Luis Barragon, the famous architect, we came home to a book of architecture on our bed to enjoy during our stay. It was a very thoughtful touch. We had breakfast a few of our days at the hotel and it was delicious. During the six days we were there, they had music as entertainment one evening and also a fire pit. We were only able to step in and enjoy music for a while one night because we had reservations at a restaurant and we did not join for the fire pit, but I’m sure it was done well. This was a girls trip for my mother and me but I can see where it would be a nice place for couples or friends. I highly recommended this hotel and...
Read moreI booked Nima Local House with high expectations after reading so many glowing reviews. The property itself is undeniably charming ,beautifully designed, with a boutique feel that initially made me excited about my stay. Unfortunately, the service and overall experience didn’t match the setting.||Several of my requests during the stay were either not followed up on or simply overlooked. The staff was polite but often seemed unsure how to respond to even basic needs. For a hotel in this category, I expected a higher level of professionalism and attentiveness.||The room looked lovely at first glance, but I was surprised to find a noticeable amount of dust under the bed and a strange smell, small details, but enough to make me question the overall cleanliness. I also asked to speak with a manager about some of my concerns but was told they weren’t available, and no one followed up, which felt dismissive.||Lastly, I was charged for a chocolate that had been left in the room. There was no indication it came at an additional cost ,no tag, note, or explanation ,so I assumed it was a complimentary treat. The charge itself was minor, but the lack of transparency left a negative impression.||Overall, Nima has so much potential, and I can see why others have had positive experiences. But for me, the poor attention to detail and unpolished service made it difficult to fully relax and enjoy the stay. I hope this feedback is taken constructively, as I truly believe the hotel could offer something special with more...
Read moreMy husband and I had an Exceptional experience staying here with the Nima local house family and we couldn’t be more excited to share how happy we were they welcomed us in so graciously. I cannot express enough how well the service and staff are here. They made us feel comfortable and at ease immediately, which is tough traveling during these covid times.
It is located in a beautiful part of town and conveniently located next to our top two restaurants of choice. Our room was chic, spacious and quiet and the hotel decor had a mix of a Spanish and Parisian vibes. It is absolutely lovely. They went out of their way to make sure we had a wonderful stay and ensure that our rooms were super clean, safe and sanitized.
The Nima food was excellent and the Dining and Common areas were gorgeous. Chef Louis is fabulous!
We also got a 45 minute couples massage since we didn’t have too much extra time but it was well worth it. Firm and relaxing. Perfect for what we needed after traveling a long distance with little time on our hands.
I could go on and on but you might as well just go experience it for yourself ;)
Anna, Camilla, Alejandra, chef Louis and the rest of the staff were splendid and we cannot wait to come stay...
