La Gloriosa — Restaurant in Mexico City

Tried the tortilla soup, meat empanadas, and the Octopus tacos. The soup comes out in 2 parts, a small bucket with the ingredients and a separate pot with the broth. The waiter pours the broth in the bucket at the table, to ensure the ingredients don't get too soggy. The empanada dough was a little light, almost pizza dough like. We arrived in Mexico City early so we stumbled across La Gloriosa while waiting for our hotel room to be ready. We ordered guacamole, fish tacos and tacos al pastor. The guacamole was really good. My husband enjoyed the fish tacos which were very lite. The al pastor was ok but I wouldn't recommend it. The service was good and the staff is very friendly and patient while I practiced my Spanish. I was greeted by my server Johan Maldonado, since I wanted to look out to thr street I asked him if I can swap a chair or move it around, he did not looked happy about it, he never checked in and I thought it was just me but he had the same customer service approach with another customer, once I got my food then it was even more disappointing.
