Mythos Roma-Cibeles — Restaurant in Mexico City

Grilled vegetables were fine, but it'd be weird to mess that up. The tempranillo was tasty, but expensive and a small pour. The lamb steak was terrible, no flavor...I couldn't eat it. It really could of been any piece of meat and it was expensive. I should of sent it back, though having worked in restaurants for years I hate doing that. I hate wasting food and money and did both here. I thought I could salvage the lamb by turning it into a fried rice at home, but the bag broke on the walk back and the container fell into the street. I left it there with the garbage, figured that was the universe telling me that's where it belonged. Arrived just after 830, internet says they're open till 10, but the staff clearly didn't want me there. Overall, very overpriced and terrible food, would not recommend or return. A deep appreciation to Victor, our fabulous waiter tonight, who made our dining experience exceptional. He was very attentive, and when we ordered our meals and my husband asked for no tomatoes on his salad because of an allergy, Victor excused himself for a moment. He returned to say that the meal my husband ordered had tomatoes in the sauce and he apologized.

We are incredibly grateful he caught this detail so my husband could select another option. I enjoyed the moussaka, which was hearty and tasteful. My husband went with the souvlaki and said it was moist and cooked perfectly.

Upon entering, we were quickly impressed by the atmosphere and decor of the restaurant - intimate, yet well lit and inviting. well done!

Once we sat down, a waiter greeted us with a pleasant demeanor and he did several little things (too long to write) that typically occur in high end restaurants! They had an English menu, which helped for two Americans.

Having grown up in a Greek household, I'm particular in rating Greek food - I must say, everything we had was among the best I've had while dining out!! It really brought me back to my roots!
