The food was good, but lousy service.

We asked to try 2 different wines from the wine list. They brought us 2 others. I noticed it and told the waiter. He said that one of them was not available, so he brought another one. Then I looked at the other one and saw it actually has the same name as the other one I requested. I checked it's name and looked at the menu infront of the waiter and then said "ahh it's okay, it's this one". Then the waiter noded with agreement. I asked how much is a glass of the other one. It was about double than the one that wasn't available, so I said it's too expensive and asked to try just the one that I asked for and they had. I tried it, it was fine so we took 2 glasses of it. Later on, when we received the bill we were surprised to see a bigger charge for the wine then what that is written at the menu. The waiter said suddenly that it's not the same one from the menu, but a better version of it (there was one more word at the name, so maybe).I told him that it's not what we ordered but he didn't take responsibility for it, although as I mentioned before when we he gave me to try the wine he didn't say that and he didn't say anything when I said about the other one that it's too expensive. It's a common sense that if the other wine was expensive for us, so does it. All in all it was very deceiving. It's not what we ordered and the wine had the same name, so we could not tell this just by a glance. We didn't leave any tip and I can't recall when we did...

Not the best experience I have had. We arrived by the time it opened but nothing was ready. The guy on the front door was speaking over the phone and made us wait. Then he told us we should wait more because nothing was ready yet. We then got a table assigned and ordered food, including a salad. The salad never came, they forgot and we ended uo canceling it. The food was very good, so that is the 2 stars. But the restaurant services kept being bad. The manager is supposed to check on the tables, but that never happened. When we tried to pay they didnt allow us to tip what we wanted, they would only accept certain amounts of tip. Then at the end they said they would give us a coupon for the next visit if we completed a survey. We did the survey but never received the email with the coupons. Although the food was very good, Polanco is full of places with excellent food. And many of them offer a better and more reliable restaurant service. I would recommend Dante restaurant, which has the same quality of food but much better and...

Our new friends wanted to come here because they had a fabulous meal in Puerto Vallarta. They raved about it so much that we had to try it. This place was beautifully decorated but the food was just ok. We got the ribeye center and it was slightly better than a sirloin you would get at TGIF or Chili’s. I would opt for another steakhouse in Polanco. Service - I asked for “house water” aka tap and they brought out a bottle that has “ Agua de casa” on it for $70 pesos. 😂 Our server didn’t speak much English and the “manager” that came over to make sure the order was taken correctly didn’t speak any better English. After they cleared our table, no one came to offer dessert or checked if we needed anything.

This is my place to go when I want to go for a safe option in terms of quality of the food and eat delicious. It never disappoints. I really like new menu where they added new dishes to share. My fav for excellence is the chicharrón de pulpo as appetizer is a must. We ordered onion soup and was okay. Love the brisket para taquear, good meat portion to share between 2-3 people, it came with avocado, chile and tortillas (add sauces - are just great each and one of them!). For dessert, I’ve tried the fondant dulce de leche (my fav!), the chocolate red velvet and the tarta de higo y queso; all of them are delicious. Drinks are good and love they have 2x1 in cocktails. Prices are Polanco prices but it worth it.

Super friendly staff caring about your every need. It starts of with an elevator ride to the first floor of the restaurant. 2 seperate areas for smoking and non-smoking. The hostess brings you the table and the waiter arrives to explain the menu and relevant dishes. The food is incredible, steak cooked to perfection on a hot lava stone. Definitely a great place to have lunch or dinner in the main street of Palonca, Mexico City.
