Good coffee (7/10), bad breakfast (3/10).
Wife and I got eggs and chilaquiles. My eggs were very dry and crumbly. A sign of overcooking them. The beans were nice and a necessary addition to each egg bite to give the bite any real flavor and wetness. Multigrain toast was actually pretty good, but with how dry everything was, it only made things even more dry.
On the other hand, my wife's chilaquiles were too wet. I get that the tortillas are going to get soggy, but good chilaquiles should have some crisp to them when served. These had been soaking for quite a while. The chips were beyond soggy and straight to liquified. The sauces leaned hard on the spiciness. The red one was flavorful, but the green one was meh. They ended up making my wife sick to her stomach overall.
We both got juices and they were pretty weak. Asked for a Pina Colada and only had pineapple as a flavor.
Coffee was solid. Would definitely get JUST coffee there again. For a place with 4.6 stars, I expected it to be up there with the greats for breakfast, but we left disappointed. This reminded me of the cheap continental breakfast at like a Holiday Inn. I highly suggest the cooks do some brushing up on how to cook eggs because your...
Read moreWe were looking for light, healthy breakfast/lunch, and this place surpassed our expectations - we had passion fruit juice, tropical bowl, and coffee.
Unlike many places, they either added no sugar or very little sugar - I really don’t like when they add sugar in fruit juice, so their juice was so perfect. Seeds of passion fruit was not crushed, which i absolutely loved. Without crunchy seeds of passion fruits, what’s good about passion fruit?
Tropical bowl was perfect, too - we wanted a very simple chia pudding without too much sugar or vanilla extract, and it was perfect. The density of the pudding was right on! Toppings were just what we wanted too, some good granola, coconut flakes, and fruits.
Service was good - not too much interaction, but they did care for us.
As we were looking for light healthy place to eat, this place...
Read moreI ordered 3 quesadillas without ham. Walked home. Ate one quickly, as I was so hungry. Suddenly felt sick. It had ham.
Walked back in the hot sun. Let the server know. She took the box from me, no apology. She didn't say not even a word, nothing. I sat and waited for new ones. What did the server give me? Rather than just accommodating me, after having served me ham (which is a taboo for me), and me having to walk all the way back there, she handed me only 2 cheese quesadillas. Why? Because I ate one, trusting this restaurant, that there was no ham in it. I guess they were too stingy to just give me what I had originally ordered. Note: Their quesadillas are made from one small quesadilla, folded. Not even two.
You would think that after the inconvenience they'd just replace that tiny quesadilla which costs only a couple pesos to...
