Found this place by looking at the reviews. I know it is the off season however my opinion is that everything is overpriced and over-sold. My experience in Montenegro is that everything is as simple as it gets and I had the feeling that this place is trying too hard to be something it is not and over complicating things. We tried 2 different signature coctails; which the staff worked really hard on but the end result was too overpowering because of the syrups they used. We had the california roll for sushi which was good. Tuna tataki was ok; had a bit of burnt oil taste and found the fine chopped vegetables on top unnecessary, didnt really add anything(if the idea was to add something crunchy why finely chop them). Steak tartare was ok, could have done with some lime juice or something similar(only food we had to put salt on during our visit). Carbonara is not traditional, you don’t put cream in carbonara although taste was mediocre. We tried the grilled pork neck as well, it was cooked beautifully however could have used some spices rather than a boring sauce on the side. Service was not so good, we had the plates changed but the cutlery was left. Our waiter spent a lot of time on the computer and the venue was cold in general against our experiences in Montenegro. All in all; this is a place that gives you high expactations but does not deliver by overcomplicating things..would i go there again? Definitely no, not worth the hassle.

We came for a late lunch, the restaurant was nice and empty, it takes an inner yard between buildings and I bet it's nice and cool in summer, but it was cold in November. We didnt ask for blankets though so it's on us. Although it was empty we still waited at least half an hour even for salad and bruschetta (which is essentially a toast with cream cheese and salmon). The mushroom soup was nice! The mussels in wine sauce too (it's a small portion with no garnish so not enough) Bruschetta of no particular taste. The salad with prawns was extremely disappointing, as it contained 3-4 small shrimp, decent amount of avocado and a lot of salad leaves which created the volume. I think to make the salad delicious you have to have a certain ratio of ingredients and maybe have more taste adding ingredients. The pictures look nice though. The waiter was nice and always ready to help. The flush in one of the toilets seems broken. Yeah and the dog was very cute. A nice place but the food and waiting was a disappointment.

Tucked away up a flight of stone steps in Kotor’s Old Town, Atrium opens into a gorgeous courtyard with stone floors and walls that feel both historic and timeless. The setting is intimate and atmospheric, perfect for a mid-day break from exploring the winding streets. We ordered a bottle of Croatian wine and enjoyed what turned out to be one of the best seafood meals of our trip. My wife had mussels served in a blue cheese sauce that was so good she cleaned the bowl with bread. I had octopus with a dollop of thick ink sauce, tender, flavorful, and easily the best I’ve ever tasted. Every bite showed why Kotor is so well known for its seafood. To finish, we tried a digestif of Amaro Montenegro, a local herbal liqueur with a bitter finish that balanced the richness of the meal. A must-try if you want to experience something distinctively regional. The service was warm, the setting beautiful, and the food outstanding. What a find! Atrium is a place I strongly recommend if you’re visiting Kotor.

Disappointed in our experience here. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful, but the service left much to be desired. The staff is cold and unwelcoming. It’s clear that they had a horrible night, but I don’t feel like it’s fair for them to put that on the guests of the restaurant. The food took forever to come out, so we ordered some beers while we waited. Finally the food came, and we tried to eat very slowly so we could enjoy the beers with our meals, but the beers didn’t come until after we were long done with our meal. The beers came warm due to sitting on the bar top with 4 other table’s drink orders waiting to be served, so the beers were completely unappetizing. There were only 3 staff members on the floor for a full restaurant with lines out the door, and people were canceling their orders due to everything taking far too long. It’s hard to find and retain good staff members, but I would have preferred not to have gotten sat if the restaurant could not accommodate me, as now I have a bad impression due to the poor service. After being finished with our meal for a while and leaving the credit card on the end of the table on top of the receipt to pay and failing to get someone’s attention, we finally saw a staff member with a card reader. We flagged her down to pay and she scoffed but said yes and walked away. She then walked by us with said card reader 3 other times to close out 3 other tables before us. Maybe we weren’t in “her section,” but she made us feel like an absolute inconvenience and totally unwelcome. We waited for 15-20 minutes more after that to finally pay with no consideration or acknowledgement for how poor the service was. Not impressed. Food was good, but not worth the price for...

We were marvelling at the candelabras they have dotted around when the waiter came over, he offered to light it then placed it on the table, when he came back with our food he complained that it was dripping wax on the wooden table and said it’s hard for him to clean, then scraped it off with a pocket knife, we felt it was pretty inappropriate that he was blaming us as 1 we are the guests, 2 he placed it on the table 3 it’s his responsibility to say oh we like to keep them on the side due to dripping my mistake. Also we asked for a slice of extra bread to mop up some sauce from the starter which they obliged but when the mains came he brought out an extra spoon and said (so you can get the sauce) which just felt a little condescending, it was hard to read the waiters vibe so I can see how other guests have found the staff rude. This all being said the food was tasty especially the chicken mains, the schnitzel delicious, I felt the portions could have been a bit bigger as I left still a bit hungry and the burrata didn’t have that oozy middle that I was hoping but we were in a good mood and treating ourselves so still had a good time. I would also personally dip the lights in the evening for a more atmospheric feeling, it’s a beautiful building was just a bit bright. Good food so...
