I had only 200 DH on that day so I was worried if It was enough. they said they didn’t accept credit card but I can pay by international currency. I asked them if they accept my currency and the guy said he was going to check. While I was waiting for him, I looked at the menu and 200DH is more than enough to eat and drink there so I said I was going to have lunch there. But when I was trying to order, the other guy came up to me angrily and shouted at me so loud in front of all the customers saying like if I don’t have money I can’t eat there, I have to leave. So disrespectful. I know it must have been cultural differences, still they must have been another way to talk.

The thing is..if I had no money and was intending not to pay, I wouldn’t have asked them about the payment method before I order..

I just left the restaurant, was sad but no...

The Moroccan soup was rather disappointing (a big bowl of tasty soup with not much in it) and the mixed skewers were rather dry but the Merzuga ( goat meat with prunes, raisins and honey- hey, don’t knock it before you try it) was amazing and more than made up for the rest of the food. The entrance was a bit difficult to locate but it was more than worth the effort for the stellar rooftop view ( a perfect spot to watch the sunset). Our waiter, Mohamed Said was very friendly, really helpful and a joy to talk to- he really made this a...

What to do in the “Blue City”⬇️ (Save for later) Chefchaouen, often referred to as the “Blue City,” is a picturesque town in northern Morocco known for its distinctive blue-painted buildings and stunning mountain landscapes. -Wander around the blue streets. You can wander for hours through these blue alleyways. It was my favorite Medina in all of Morocco. The entire town is “Instagrammable” -Watch the sunset from Bouzafer Mosque on the hill. -Take a day trip to Akchour. Here you can hike to the God’s Bridge and/or multiple stunning waterfalls. It’s a 45 minute taxi ride. -I stayed at Dar Dadicilef Hostel and loved it. It’s very quiet, with a stunning garden, delicious free breakfast every morning, and the sweetest owner. His English isn’t great, but if you speak a little Arabic, French, or Spanish you’ll hit it off beautifully. -My favorite restaurants were Casa Aladin, Cafe Clock, Mandala, & Restaurant El Wiam. Getting here from Tangier and/or Fez is very simple using the bus system. I recommend you use CTM or Supratours. You can purchase tickets online, but I purchased them at the ticket window about 15 minutes before departure.
