Himalayan Cuisine — Restaurant in Pokhara

Authentic Nepali cuisine in a family run restaurant. We wanted to try some local dishes and this place seemed to have a decent variety for us to choose from. Portions very generous relative to price.

We really enjoyed the buff sukuti - marinated buff jerky with a bit of a tough texture but very very delicious. The dhindo was interesting. Buff thukpa a little on the bland side. We preferred the buff momo over the chicken momo. Dhal bhat is alright.

We waited almost one hour for our food to come (chowmein, fried rice and chicken curry) and it was overpriced for what we got. The chicken curry was too small. While waiting for the food, 30 minutes in we were told that one meal we ordered wasn’t available so we had to change it. They didn’t give us cutlery with the food. I had lunch here around 9:30 AM, and it was fantastic. The food was already ready and served promptly—perfect timing for an early bite.
