Bad experience:
We ordered the Carbonara and Pizza. Firstly, they used wrong type of pasta (penne) for carbonara. Spaghetti would have made things better. Carbonara was lacking seasoning and was way too greasy. The cook should taste the food before sending it to customer. Tomato as a garnish was unnecessary. I am sorry but i have eaten and made a way better carbonara. Therefore, i only ate few spoons. Also, waiter didn't asked how it was so minus in service side as well. Carbonara is one of the simplest italian pasta with 4-7 ingredient. However, simplest things are hard to execute sometime.
Pizza wasn't good either. It was flavour less. And we don't know what kind of mozzarella was used coz they were scrambled instead of silky and elastic.
Also, Our food didn't come same time. Waiter forgot our drink order too.
We came to this restaurant based on other reviews. However, we had a bad experience.

It was a pleasure to return to Caffe’ Concerto after six years of absence and to find the food standards just as high, if not better, of when I had last visited it. They have new dishes on the menu, such as the beef brasato, oven baked beef fillet marinated in good bordeaux wine and italian herbs and served with different seasonal vegetables. Their pumpkin ravioli is also a new dish that I enjoyed immensely, served with crispy sage and grated parmesan, yum! The Nepalitaly pizza, with yak cheese & basil pesto is also unmissable in my opinion. The executive chef (an Italian from Venice!) told me that most ingredients like sun dried tomatoes, olive oil and anchovies are imported from Italy and one can taste the excellent flavors and general high quality of the ingredients. Don’t miss the pies, my favourite is the rich chocolate cake with orange candies. Great Illy espresso with grappa at the end helps to wrap up the experience of an authentic...
Read moreWe were so disappointed after reading the good reviews and the recommendation in Lonely Planet (makes you wonder if the writers are bribed, as some backpackers told us is the case). The food (burger and beef dish) was really dry. The bun was so dry it had split before cutting into it. The patty was dry and grainy. Generally poor quality. The sauce to my dish tasted only of clover spice and was really thick and also cold. The beef was supposed to be slowcooked, but it was grey and dry. The service on the other hand was excellent, and when I sent my dish back they were apologetic and said I shouldn't pay for it, and could choose a new dish.
Would not recommend this place based on food quality, no. The two starts are only...
