Bar TwentySeven — Restaurant in Amsterdam

When we arrived at the hotel, our jackets were collected and stored in a cloakroom. The staff also called the elevator for us and briefly explained how to get to the bar - very attentive.

The first impression of the bar was really good. The design of the furniture and the rooms is very high quality. In addition to a main area where the bar is located, there are two smaller rooms in case you like to enjoy more privacy.

The drinks were very good and on point. Many of the drinks had that certain something. For example, the Gold Digger cocktail is not only an outstanding drink, but also stands out visually with its glittering and moving gold in the drink.

The mixologist was very well trained and always had an eye on all the guests. He was able to tell a short story about many of the cocktails, which significantly enhanced the cocktail experience. As soon as the cocktail was almost empty, he came over and brought the menu. Small snacks were refilled several times.

This bar really is very high quality and the mixologists work at the highest level. I can therefore say that it is one of the best cocktail bars I have ever visited what made it really hard for us to leave.

I meant to write this review when I was there around September 2- 7! I want to start by saying the service was outstanding. I’d searched endlessly for a martini and found the most perfect one right at this bar! Anything you needed they made it! All while being amazing, felt like I didn’t need to go to any other bar. Hence coming back but more importantly the people the people there were phenomenal and I think it would be insane for me not to give them a round of applause as the team effort to make it such an experience! special people mentions to Josze, Nathan, Brent, Francesca, Francia, Marcelo! (I hope I spelled everyone’s name right! ) You guys are so brilliant and talented at what you all do! I can see why this place was rated by Michelin guide. I can’t wait to see what more this team offers in the future! Thank you guys so much for making my stay in the Netherlands memorable and for my short time there making me a repeat client! Very nice bar at Dam Square. The hotel staff were super nice but the bar servers were surly and seemed overly annoyed to serve our group. One of them actually said they would not let us pay separately WHEN THE BAR SAID WE COULD, because according to him, “it’s less convenient for him”. Not the kind of person who should be working in a service job.

And I understand that service can be difficult. We were a nice crowd spending money and being polite. The servers (all except one) seemed like they just hated their jobs and hated dealing with people. One was flat out rude.

For this kind of bar with their prices and the image they present, a rude server who acts like it’s such a bother to do his basic job and tells customers he won’t do what the bar promised because it’s “less convenient” for him, is not acceptable.
