I don't really understand how this place has so good reviews. First 10 mins in and we see one of the waiters arguing with customers because he tried to overcharge them and the other waiter (who was the one servicing us) made the order of the next table wrong. 20mins later our food came, a stake, a chicken burger , an Amsterdam old cheese burger (we were 4persons) and a second stake which we never had order-because one of wasn't hungry- but the speaking Spanish waiter was insisting very rude that my gf said in Spanish "two stakes" when she clearly only asked for the meat to be medium rare which at the end it came medium-well done . There are no words to describe this dude attitude!! I have never ever experienced something like this!! Finally after many tries and many dripping oily sause on the table he took it back, with attitude of course and mumbling. The food now.. the stake not juicy, completely tasteless one of the worse I had, the chicken burger was an average no fries burger, the old Amsterdam cheese burger should be called just burger because they either forgot the cheese or they put so little I didn't taste it and an no dressing simple lettuce salad. But the 3 of us were so hungry we didn't want to ask explanations any more. We just payed , we tipped them and we went the moment we finish eating. They don't understand how much they damage the restaurant's image or maybe they don't care. The real review , because gmaps doesn't offer lower than one star so..never again!!

We visited this restaurant shortly after arriving in Amsterdam, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our first day in the city. From the moment we walked in, the service was warm and welcoming. The waiter who greeted us was incredibly friendly, full of energy, and very chatty in the best way — he made us feel right at home straight away. Despite being a group of five, we were seated immediately without any hassle, which was a pleasant surprise.

We ordered a mix of dishes including burgers, pizza, and pasta. The burger was especially outstanding — without a doubt, the best burger any of us had during our stay in Amsterdam. It was juicy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The pizza and pasta dishes were also delicious, with generous portions and fresh ingredients. Everything arrived at the table quickly and was served hot, which added to the overall positive experience.

The atmosphere of the restaurant was relaxed and inviting, making it a great place to unwind after a long day of travel. For a central location like this, we were expecting prices to be quite high, but we were pleasantly surprised — the meal was very reasonably priced for the quality and portion sizes we received.

Another small but important detail: the bathroom was exceptionally clean and tidy, which we really appreciated.

After eating here, I can only assume most of the reviews are fake or paid promotions.

I ordered the prime rib in medium, and what came out was a well done, super thin, low quality piece of meat that left me stunned. Aside from the completely incorrect grade of steak, it definitely wasn't a "prime rib".. I immediately voiced that it was well done upon cutting it open. They took it back as if they were waiting for a complaint or that it happens very often..

They apologized and took it back, promising much better. What came was a much bigger, thicker piece of meat, but this one I'd say was medium rare and not medium, not too much of a big deal. It was way more raw than I wanted it. Two opposite extremes than before. It was edible unlike the first try, but then I started worrying that because it was so raw, that I'd get sick.

The burger I ordered had extremely hard buns, and the patty didn't seem like the "black angus" they advertised. Clearly a cheap patty from the looks of the texture, like for a microwave meal.

Overall, I'm kind of in disbelief that this restaurant has such a high rating. It's evident from their extensive menu, they don't serve fresh food. It is all frozen. Not that big of a deal, but if you want something fresh and tasty, this is not the place.
