Be careful when you get the food that it won't be charged for the weight of your plate, but the size of the plate you choose. The first time I went, I took a random plate where I put literally 3 tiny things because I thought the price was calculated per weight of my plate, but it wasn't at all. At the cashier, there was a woman, who was super annoyed, and she wasn't speaking a word in English, she didn't make any effort to try to understand my situation and eventually I was charged for the big plate anyway, even though I had 3 pieces of cauliflower inside. I like the concept of this place, and I believe there are the healthiest options of food in the area, but I was very disappointed for the service. The women at the cashier were both so annoyed. Anyway there is lots of place for seating and many healthy options for food

First, you have to pay to use the toilets. Staff was really not welcoming, and brownie so dry I could barely finish it ! The coffee was okay, but way too expensive. A shame because the view is great

This one is the best La Place in Netherland. I like to go there because they have fresh food, good service and very nice space. In Amsterdam this building is really big and beautiful. You can make your work space inside and you can find nice seat with view. Price is good as always at La Place. They make good coffee or thee or anything you want. Really a lot chooses I like their sandwiches and coffee wit oat milk. Restrooms is on -1 floor and it's very clean. You pay 0.70 cents but you can use 0.50 cents to pay in restaurants La place all over Netherland. I understand that they have this sistem because it's big city and very big building. Everyone can come inside and use it. Really enjoyed my lunch yesterday. Perfect location, perfect view and really good food - for very reasonable amount of money.

The new building is nice, but the food, service, and prices are a car crash. I live across the street from this place, and was anxiously awaiting it's re-opening from it's previous location in the old V&D building next door. What a let down. When in the old building they used to bake their own fresh bread onsite and the prices were acceptable. The transition has resulted as an insult to it's previous incarnation and their customers. 4.25€ for a medium size coconut cookie that probably costs less than .10€ to make. 3.25€ for a "Large" Americano that is served in a small coffee cup. No fresh bread baked onsite - As I said, I live across the street and see them carting in the so-called 'fresh' food every morning. The service is a disaster. I met my friend there at 10am on a Saturday morning. It took close to 20 minutes to get a couple of coffees and cookies, and the place was empty. Staff were much busier talking amongst themselves than paying attention to their job. To such a degree that, after standing at the coffee area for close to 10 minutes being ignored by the 'barista', I had to ask another staff member who was passing 'Is anyone actually working here?'. He pointed me to the staff member who had been ignoring us. Lovely. So we got our coffees, finally, and then had to wait additionally as the inept staff member figured out the Point-of-Sale (PoS) terminal. Pfffff. The icing on the cake was that the coffees and cookies were average at best. Never again. I recommend you avoid this place. If you want a simple coffee, with or without a cookie, I recommend that you walk a few meters to Rembrantsplein and visit Dunkin' Donuts or The Coffee Company. I'm not a fan of Starbucks, but the one on the Flower Market is infinitely better than La Place. There are too many options in the immediate area that customers should have to tolerate such poor quality of product, price, and service.
