Law & Order Cocktail Bar — Restaurant in Amsterdam

We were first introduced to Law and Order at the "Shake festival" somewhere in the north of Amsterdam in July 2023. Two gents and a lady were on drinks duty.

Their drinks were superb but heavy on the day (not their fault)...hahaha we are light drinkers. The day turned out well. FAST FORWARD A YEAR ON....then my mrs decided we should find them and try them again...hahaha

From the entrance, you are welcomed with a warm smile from the charasmatic Ilias, then warmly welcomed with the handsome smile of Giorgos. They are not bartenders!!!! I mean these two behind the bar are actual chefs in their own right haha. The drinks are of the highest quality and does need to be price justified.

The music that plays, the layout of the bar and everything else just takes that edge off whether you had a bad or good week haha. This is our favourite bar throughout the whole of the Netherlands. Giorgos even poured us the shot of our home country, South Africa... the " Springbokkie".

I am very confused at some of the recent 1-star reviews. You bring 15-20 people to a cocktail bar on a night when it’s already crowded and complain about service for not being let in. Or you come in the 20 people and order 6 drinks taking up all that space? This isn’t a pub or whatever chain restaurant you might be used to…as an 18-yr old. A 15 dollar drink is standard in Amsterdam for quality cocktails. The reviews are just not helpful because the expectations of these reviewers are totally out of context for a cocktail bar.

The staff is friendly AND “spicy” and that is part of the fun and if you don’t like that there are 15 places in Rembrandtplein with exactly what you are looking for.

Such a wonderful experience! My husband and I are Americans that came to Amsterdam as part of our honeymoon, and this place was great! The drinks were delicious and had a wide range of flavors (some very sweet, some more mild). The bartenders were amazing and friendly and chatted with us the whole time yet were still hard working and very attentive to the rest of the guests. They explained different parts of Amsterdam to us and educated us about the drinks. The bartender Dory was especially amazing, you could tell she really cares about her customers and what she does, and she also made delicious drinks! We also got to chat with a lovely couple next to us who are from Romania but now live in Amsterdam. Would recommend to anyone and hope to come back...
