We visited this restaurant earlier this week. While the food was generally good and several staff members were friendly and professional, our overall experience was affected by one disturbing incident.
One of the servers (a round-faced Asian woman in her 30s or 40s) displayed noticeably rude behavior toward our table (we are Asian guests). Her tone was curt and dismissive throughout the service. What made it particularly confusing and upsetting was that the other servers were very kind and welcoming, and we noticed that this particular server treated non-Asian (especially white) guests with noticeably more respect and warmth.
We sincerely hope this wasn’t a case of internalized bias or some form of discriminatory behavior. Read moreIf you’re looking for somewhere cozy and quiet to enjoy a meal, this isn’t the place for you. HOWEVER… if you’re looking for delicious food that will have you humming, ooh-ing and aah-ing as you munch, then this IS the place. I had their dimsum mix which was a selection of pork spring rolls, vegetable spring rolls, fried shrimp wontons and juicy steamy dumplings. The skin is crispy, fat carefully separated, meat is tender, served with super thin lotus pancakes, scallions and cucumbers. Absolutely amazing!
We also got eggplant vegetable dish and a mix of fish and seafood in the curry sauce. Both were very good, but I am coming back for the duck. Oh and almost forgot we ordered Long Baos - which were not good. They were dry, the skin was super thick and tasteless. I feel bad that I ate them.
