I had an absolutely amazing dining experience at this restaurant! The shared menu was a culinary journey that delighted our taste buds at every turn. We started with the Sourdough with Pickled Mango Butter—the tangy sweetness of the mango butter was a delightful twist on a classic. The Kohlrabi with Pea Mint Purée, Red Zhug, and Pickled Blackberry was a refreshing blend of flavors that paired wonderfully together.
The Bimi with Harissa Hollandaise, Fava, and Pea Shoots had a nice hint of garlic, and the Harissa Hollandaise sauce was especially delicious. The Fennel with Plum Amba, Dill, and Almond was a standout dish—subtle yet impactful. The Blue Potato with Halloumi, Black Garlic Butter, and Pomegranate was simply divine, combining savory and sweet elements perfectly.
The Spinach Stew with Carrot and Chickpea was comforting and full of flavor. For the mains, the Mangal Chicken with Onion, Chili, and Chard was cooked to perfection, and the Catch of the Day with Tomato, Olive Aioli, and Coriander was fresh and flavorful.
To top it all off, the desserts were exceptional. The Pumpkin Pie with Greek Yogurt Gelato was a delightful blend of warm spices and creamy coolness. The White Chocolate with Ouzo, Figs, and Pistachio was a decadent treat that perfectly ended our meal.
The service was really attentive, and the atmosphere was cozy and inviting. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a delight for the taste buds. We will definitely be...
Read moreOur dinner was a feast of flavors and creativity, where each sharing plate brought something special to the table. The Sourdough with Amba butter was the perfect start, its warm, crusty texture complementing the rich and tangy butter. The Salt-roasted Roots with Pickled Lemon Tahina and Hazelnut created a beautiful harmony between the earthy sweetness of the roots and the zing of the pickled lemon, all enhanced by the nutty crunch.
The Bimi with Harissa Hollandaise, Fava, and Pea Shoots was a refreshing, light dish, with a perfect balance of smoky heat from the harissa and the freshness of the greens. The Couscous, mixed with Kale, Pomegranate, Mint, and Sage, added a vibrant, herby note with pops of sweetness from the pomegranate seeds. The Smoked Eggplant Schnitzel, paired with Feta and Turkish Pepper, offered a rich, smoky, and savory combination, perfect for eggplant lovers.
And of course, the Mangal Chicken, expertly cooked on The Big Green Egg, was smoky, tender, and full of flavor, a real showstopper on the table.
For dessert, the Honey Pie, with its silky Greek yoghurt gelato, had a perfect blend of sweetness and tang, while the White Chocolate Strawberry Pistachio offered a wonderful interplay of creamy, fruity, and nutty flavors that left us completely satisfied. Every dish was a thoughtful blend of ingredients, creating an unforgettable...
Read moreThey used to have the best brunch in the city, with an unlimited breakfast buffet that included fresh croissants, veggies, warm dishes, freshly made hummus and more. They also had fresh juices available like beet juice, carrot juice, and grapefruit and coffee. On top of all of this, you could choose your main course for brunch, which used to rotate and all of that was 25 euros—what a deal! It was hard to get a spot here on the weekends, due to its popularity.
We went yesterday and saw they totally changed the concept, and now it’s a la carte, with dishes ranging from 15-20 euros. Croissants are 3.50 extra. Juice is 3.50 extra. You can have unlimited coffee and tea (from a Machine) for 6 euro, but that’s it. They also went from 2-3 chefs working at the open kitchen to 1 chef, which means it takes a while for the food to come. The quality went down a bit as well.
We’re really disappointed! We would have paid a premium on the previous concept if the issue was cost savings. But changing to a la carte doesn’t make Zoku stand out compared to other brunch establishments in the city. We hope they bring back their unique concept of an open, family style breakfast, as that’s truly its...
