Maciotto — Restaurant in Leiden

From USA - had pizza, tomato salad, and ice cream here and LOVED every bit of it!!!! The mozzarella that the salad came with was very, very good and plentiful and the balsamic dressing could not have been better. The waiter went and found ice for the water we were drinking and that was so kind. We had a prosciutto pizza that was perfectly cooked. The ingredients tasted so fresh and it was definitely better than expected - delicious!! Then, THEN the ice cream!!!!!! Wow, wow, wow!!! My husband liked his peach and lemon but the Lemoncello that I had was probably one of the top ice creams I've ever had in my life!!!!!!! We plan to for sure go back and I'm not sure if I'll try other flavors or just be swayed by my taste buds to only have the Lemoncello!!!!! Thank you for the delightful and delicious...

My husband and I are visiting the Netherlands for our honeymoon and the second we walked in the store the two girls behind the counter were so unfriendly. Even my husband who lived 2 years in the Netherlands and speaks fluent Dutch spoke to them and they kept looking at each other like we were stupid and that they wanted us out. Not to mention the ice cream wasn’t even that good. I do not recommend if you’re a tourist and just wanting a fun...
