Very bad service. I’ve been there several times. And the last time was so terrible, that I realized that I’d never return. I brought my friend there, it was her first visit to Rotterdam and her first coffee in this place. She is foreign, young and a junior content creator. Of course I wanted to show her this place. We ordered coffee, took sits and after a while I asked her to stand up near the table, so that I could take a few photos of her. The barista approached us and in a rood form informed us that we were not allowed to take photos here. Like, this is prohibited here. I was shocked, I’d been a couple of times before, and saw people taking videos and photos. There are photos of customers on their instagram page… It was strange behavior, it seems like they treat foreigners this way. A really nice cafe, with great matcha and iced tea, but I didn't have a great experience with the service. We were welcomed and told to sit, and they would come to take our order. However, they didn't come to us for a while and even served people who came after us. They only realized they forgot about us when they brought the wrong order to our table. The Iced Matcha Latte is well made, not sweet like some other places. They also have many milk options. The Homemade Iced Tea is really refreshing and not sweet at all! Worst client/ guest experience in Rotterdam - went the Ame on May 24 at 3 PM ( 2 hours before the cafe is closed). There is only 1 seat taken out of 3 small and 1 big table ; so this is how empty the place was. They mentioned they don’t accept laptops during Friday and Weekend - weird for the empty place but ok. I closed it , than the staff asked me to remove closed laptop from the table because it can create snowball effect - so other people can see and start to use their laptop. I said the laptop is closed and your cafe is empty! She said these are the rules and you are not understandable. This is not an acceptable communication for anyone.
