御唐府 （中餐馆）Yu T'ang Fu Grill Restaurant — Restaurant in Ōtara-Papatoetoe

We thought we’d try something new instead of our favourite the junction. Well I wouldn’t go there again. I thought the food was below takeaway standard, definitely not restaurant quality. I got beef in black bean sauce on rice, my partner got sechuan spicy pork on rice and our girl got ribs on rice. Ribs were battered and yuk. Spicy dish was spicy but average. We also got flaked spring roll with a dipping sauce. The spring rolls were nice but the dipping sauce was a bottled variety and was below par, my beef in black bean sauce was below average and to be honest so was the rest. All the meals were luke warm and not seasoned at all. In fact I went to the junction and got my spare ribs on rice. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. It was a nice place to look at but the food was rubbish. We got it to go and my dogs can have it...

First time eating here... wonderful service, met with a smile, as soon as we sat down, we were served tea, with plates and cutlery. We ordered crispy pork, black bean sauce beef, sweet and sour pork and the condensed milk buns! Everything was so delicious!!!!!! So neat, didnt take long at all and the food was piping hot, not microwave hot.. straight out the wok hot! 🔥 Beautiful space, chairs are super strong esp for big people like me who worry about the strenth of the chairs lol 😆

Make sure you try them out! Forgot I was in the southside lol So good, planning our next visit with all the family already.. and im still sitting in the restaurant...

Me and my sister dined in at the Restaurant because I felt like prawns. Well I viewd this Restaurant online amd read the reviews and viewed the photos. The Salted Prawns look so yummy, we went straight there. It didn't disappoint it was so yummy, we had the black bean with mince pork which I didn't know that the black stuff is not black bean but black olives and that was yummy too. We were very full and ordered so much of course our eyes are bigger than our stomachs that we ate and took away the leftovers. The service was spot on and they were very polite and courtesy to us. We give them a five star rate and along with a tip because they deserved it. I highly recommend this...
