It was a busy night indeed, but not too busy. Just the usual Friday night for a bistro. Me and my friends with our kids came around 7:20 p.m. after trick or treating. Ordered our foods. I ordered drinks for the kids to settle them a bit. After 10 minutes or so, their food came. We were expecting we'd be next, but after 20 minutes, no food for us yet. I asked for follow-up, and the staff said. 15 minutes. We waited patiently; kids were almost done with theirs, so I asked again. Another 10 minutes he said, really? I asked the lady staff, but without even asking, she answered me it would be 30 minutes. For 2 medium rare steaks and pork belly, it took us almost an hour waiting. But there was no food; we decided to cancel. Probably they are just waiting for us to cancel it too, anyway. The guest in front of us came in later than us but got their meals before us. Disappointing! The staff said he was disappointed too, and he couldn’t really talk with the chef. Really? No communication at all in the work force? We should have been told earlier that it would take a while; we could have found some place to eat. But they would rather for us to wait and starve. 2 stars; at least the kids...
Read moreOff the happy hour menu, I ordered the Crispy chicken, which came with a small spoonful of flavourful salad and fries. It was good for $20.00. The crispy chicken was, as described, crispy. It appeared to be more crisp than chicken. The chicken inside was real meat, though not much flavour. The fries were nicely cooked. Off the main menu I ordered a side order of roast veggies for $12.00. These looked and tasted like they had been tipped out of a freezer bag and microwaved for slightly less than the recommended time. There was an artfully zigzaged drizzle of sauce over the top. Most disappointing. In their defence, I did eat early, so they may not have had the real roast veggies out of the oven yet, so rather than say, "No, this dish is not available at this time", they found something in the freezer. The waitress/bartender was warm and friendly. Food was served quickly, as I was the only one eating at 4.45pm so there was limited atmosphere. The seating was comfortable. The decor was...

We had dinner at Number Six Bar and Bistro, and wow—everything was absolutely fantastic! We are holidaying with family and from the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, but the real highlight was the food. Every single dish was packed with flavor, beautifully presented, and just downright delicious.
The pork belly was perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor, and the Tuscan chicken had the most amazing balance of textures. Every bite made me want to slow down just to savor it. You can really tell the chefs put so much care into every plate.
The service was also top-notch—friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. It felt like they really cared about making sure everyone had a great experience.
If you haven’t been here yet, you’re seriously missing out. I’ll definitely...
