Couldn’t have wished for a better experience! I had a small selection of these masterpieces for a party. They came with absolutely wonderful packaging to have them arrive safely. They were like something out of a fairy tale. All my guests were astounded at the magic of these desserts! Although I was sorely tempted to take credit for these mystical creations, I must have given out the name of sweet soul patisserie To just about every, single one, of my 50 guests. Will DEFINITELY have these again to amaze and astonish! The flavour was amazing not overly sweet ( generally I’m taken by the look of dessert but not the tastes. These were beyond expectations on both accounts. Love love love ā¤ļø Ps I’m the worst photographer in the world but it was magical PPS. I read through the lowest reviews on this amazing patisserie, And I can only guess there are some very uneducated and crass people in the world not to appreciate the artistry in the visual appeal and delicate elegance of the taste.

Amazing little patisserie that takes great pride in the desserts it makes. We really enjoyed the chocolate lover's dessert, and the coffee was amazing. There is plenty of indoor seating, with options on the ground floor and the mezzanine.

To be honest, I was a little disappointed and expected more given the reviews and the appearance of the desserts. They looked absolutely amazing (5 out 5 for appearance) but didn't meet up to my expectations of a fine patisserie. We had the 'forbidden fruit' and the 'magic tree'. Both bases disappointed - they lacked flavour and the magic tree biscuit shortcrust base almost tasted a bit stale. I would've liked there to be more definition of flavours in my magic tree dessert - I couldn't distinguish between the flavours of the different layers and certainly struggled to taste the pistachio praline element. The forbidden fruit was the better dessert given the different texture and taste that the apple compote provided. The coffee was ok. No loose leaf tea option despite the feeling of grandeur that the establishment tried to evoke. We did have very friendly service though.

Having visited Christchurch from Korea in 20years,everything has changed due to earthquake. So I was just wondering through the city streets and this shop just popped up, engaging my attention! I have been a bit disappointed with other bakerys and desserts so far here in Chch, but I should say this place is the one place I will visit again before leaving NZ! I had iced americano and dessert with pistachio. Both menus were stunning! Also the staff was very helpful when I asked if there was any dessert made with pistachio(b/c there weren't any in the counter). He told me the kitchen is actually making one right now and I could buy it. I was so lucky to have one! Now I will be definitely coming back to try other dessert! So worth...
