Respect even though if we are not a Chinese customer.

September 9 2024, 7pm. We called to booked for 3 people and we spoke with the Lady. The staff took 15mins before she came to our table and took the order. We tried to order pecking duck course 2, and other 3 main dishes. However the lady tried to gave an option about the pecking duck course 2 which we did not understand what she was saying, only the cabbage. The lady can't speaking English and her accent was hard to understand. We did not understood each other as we don't speak Chinese or have a little understanding of Chinese language. While she was taking the order she told us to hurry up because she had plenty to do. I told her that I ordered Pecking Duck course 2, and she blatantly said yeah I know then turned away. While we tried to order she went to another table and talked to another customer, in no manner and very rude while we were ready to order. We felt embarrassed. She then came back to our table and asked what was our order, we told her what we want then I repeated to her the pecking duck course 2 then she said something that only cabbage we understand. She then said again to hurry up and her gesture and tone was very rude. Other Chinese customer was heard the situation. We immediately took our phone and do an AI translation, she was so rude. In the end, we are embarrassed and we cancelled the order and went to Joyful restaurant.

After living in New Zealand for more than decades this was the first time we encountered the rudeness of the owner. The price of your menu does not match your customer service

We would not recommend this Dragon Restaurant and we will never come back again.

Very rude customer service. You are not the only Chinese restaurant in Christchurch tk be considered.

Not sure if I should rate this place as when me and my mate were visiting, cook was probably on sick leave and guy in the kitchen must have been some random fella from the street. They might be able to cook Peking Duck but thats probably it. Food bellow the standard of Hungry Wok in your local Mall. Same starchy slime without taste or spices added into both completely different meals. Disgusting seafood soup with one shrimp, one mussel and about a half a kilo of tofu, why oh why?! Beef soup tasted better in CHC Hospital than here! Carrots cut into fancy shapes but unfortunately that wasn't enough for us... Indian bistro on the corner can do better rice than these guys. Squid was rubbery and without taste. Vegetables ok but again - no taste, not even salt or pepper. I would rather starve to death than to eat here again! Fantastic! I really enjoyed it here, it is by far the best Peking duck I've tried. We went for the 1 course duck skin and pancakes and crispy roasted pork. Both amazing but the duck stole the show. Comes with fresh cucumber carrot and onion and when the duck is brought out the chef come to your table with the whole duck and takes all the skin and meat off for you right there while you watch. Only one slight downside is that the prices are a few dollars more expensive for the duck than shown on the website but is shown on the menu at the restaurant. However despite the slight price increase I would say it was still definatly worth the money. I will...
