The worst experience of my life was at jam organic cafe. I left in tears because the manager called Meenu who was taking my order had put my order in as bacon instead of salmon as someone who is allergic to bacon and cannot eat bacon due to religious reasons I couldnāt imagine ordering it I mentioned that I canāt eat bacon and was expecting them to swap it to salmon, and instead of being ok with this the Indian lady came out and started verbally attacking me saying I was calling her a liar and I ordered bacon, and started screaming at me saying how does she know if Iām not lying about ordering bacon instead of salmon and that Iām calling her liar, and was very aggressive and verbally abusive, after she made the claim she then said I can change it salmon if you want but Iām going To put my foot down that you are calling me a liar and that there is no way you ordered salmon, she kept at this I told her we donāt need to escalate the situation I wouldāve been happy with you changing it to salmon and I didnāt call you a liar and this behaviour is not ok, she says itās your fault this escalated I offered to you twice to change it (which she only did one time and only after she started yelling and screaming at me that I called her a liar). She caused a scene infront of all the customers all the other workers just ignored it and looked at me in pity, until someone passing the cafe had to tell her to stop yelling and asked if I was ok as she was visibly verbally abusive. At the sight of the intervention she took the plate and slammed it on the table and asked me what I wanted I told her I wanted a refund as I just wanted to leave the cafe, but as I was really shocked at what just happened I left crying as I had never been yelled or treated this way before. Honestly Iām never going back to this cafe again, itās disgusting the way she treats a customer nevertheless another human being, the experience wasnāt pleasant and I wouldnāt waste your time...

She kept pushing my arm and I had to tell her sheās not allowed to touch me (although she continued to touch me). She kept yelling in our ears and then told us to get out. We kept telling her to calm down and she wouldnāt listen. She gave us our refund finally and STILL miscalculated it. She also said she would ācall the copsā on us (we didnāt do anything at all and we were leaving). Horrible experience - hope the employee gets the help they need so they donāt throw their issues onto others like today. They also have fake reviews on here to bump up their rating - donāt trust it.
Update following your response: my profile shows very positive as well as negative reviews. You remember the very best and very worst experiences and I always send personal positive feedback where itās due. Your claims about us are also incorrect and based on the reviews you have received, looks like I wasnāt alone in this experience. Again, youāre threatening with taking further action which is also my right as a customer and which I kindly chose not to take. We never called your employee dumb, my companion said āthis is dumbā regarding the yelling & poor experience we were having as we just wanted to leave following making the correct calculations. The employee was yelling at us, so I absolutely had the right to request they stop. Like I said, we did request many times for us to make the calculations and that we pause the altercation but your employee chose to continue yelling and touching us. It was no more than 50mls, and 70% ice. Cafe also informed me that there is only one sized takeaway cup for iced drinks⦠so š. Please note the wood panelling for size. Drink was tiny
Edit: Owner responded to this Google Review by lying and a ChatGpt reply. Very embarrassing. Yes she asked me how the food was when she walked by my table. I said fine. Because the food was ok/fine. Nothing special. But also I highly doubt it was genuinely organic. There was no mention of food in my review, because that was simply not the point. I checked my bank statement after and realized how much I was charged for that tiny TINY cup and said hold on, this is not ok. $7.80 for 30-50mls?? I also reached out to them privately on fb first, hours before making a Google Review. And out of kindness, I initially didnāt mention in this review that they overcharged me for the wrong milk. So to the people reading this- the takeaway iced cups is tiny, and to check you havenāt been overcharged at the counter. And donāt be fooled by them claiming to be...
