Today my boyfriend and I went to catch 21 for some late lunch and we were quite excited. We had heard about it before and wanted to try for ourselves. We were greeted nicely and the service was great, we then got our drinks, and ice chocolate and coffee. They were both delicious and we were excited for the food to come after that. Our food then arrived and I was immediately unimpressed, I ordered the chicken and waffles, while he ordered the salmon benedict. My boyfriends meal was okay however the salmon was very overcooked with even some burnt bits, the poached egg was nice but overall not great. Mine on the other hand I was very disappointed by, I simply had three small pieces of chicken and 1 and half waffles with a small side of coleslaw. I understand the area and price of making things, but as I am paying $29 for a meal I would expect at least a bit more of the main ingredient. There was slight redemption when one of the girls came and asked if anything was wrong, and I told her upfront that I was just a bit shocked by the size of the food. She came back and offered my drink for free which I appreciated but I was still left disappointed. I didn’t eat any of the food and asked for a takeout box, my boyfriend ate his food and then we left. I wish this could have been good, but I think for the price customers are paying there should be more food on the plate. Terrible experience !! Not a kids friendly cafe ! We went there last Sunday and took four hungry kids for lunch after a play date. They ended up waiting for over an hour to get their food. I totally understood that cafe was busy. However, most restaurants and cafes that I have been to would serve kids' order quite quickly but NOT at this cafe ! We had spoken to several cafe staffs about whether kitchen could prioritize kids' dishes but none of them seemed concerned THUMBD DOWN. After over one hour wait, our dishes finally arrived. I was very unhappy about how they managed this so I requested to speak to cafe manager. The lady we then spoke to explained that it was an extremely busy day and herself didn't even had a drink of water since morning. She also offered staff discount (15%?) on our bill. To be honest, I could accept long wait time for adults' meal but it is unacceptable to keep four hungry kids waiting for over an hour. To sum up, this is not a child friendly cafe and...
