Relaxed & cosy vibe. They have a separate back room with a couch & large table to accommodate bigger groups. Enjoy the vintage decor. Food is really basic but also expensive. For example we ordered a bread basket, the bread was cold and it was an extra $2.50 for butter. Usually you’d expect a bread basket to automatically come with butter/ olive oil and not be something you have to pay extra for. We also got the Brie, which must’ve been 1/4 of a round of brie sliced incredibly thin and heated up with some quince paste for $12. Although the food was disappointing the staff were lovely. Very friendly and checked in on us just the right amount of times. Would revisit because of the atmosphere and service, although...

Have been here a few times for mid-afternoon coffee and a sweet treat - one of the few cafes still open and serving decent coffee after 2 pm. Cabinet range is good. This week we called in for a pre-dinner drink and snack. Highly recommend... great drinks on offer, and the small snack we had was delicious. You know when a place feels warm and welcoming, kind of like that friend's place you always relax at and enjoy good food, drinks and a laugh? This is it. Check it out. We'll be back! Oh, and the smell of breads baking was too much so we took a loaf home. Really good...

Amuse Café – a real standout in the city

Big fan of what Dori and the Amuse team are doing. The food’s always on point — fresh and thoughtful — and the coffee never misses. You can tell there’s real pride behind everything they serve.

It’s one of those spots that just gets it right — great energy, genuine people, and consistently good vibes whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or catching up over brunch.

Highly recommend stopping in next time you’re in the...

Popped in this morning to check out Amuse with my partner and we were stoked!! The cheese and onion buttery looked too good to resist. That alongside our oat flatties made for a 10/10 experience. Felt like a down to earth chilled out cafe to hangout in, and was so great to be able to see into the kitchen for all the treats that the chef was making. Everything baked in house looks stunning and we are very excited to make this our new local and become regulars at Amuse!

I’ve walked past here many times and was quite curious about what the new place inside was. Turns out, it may just be Wellington’s next little hidden gem. The baked goods are delicious, the coffee was great, and the bread…damn. It’s bloody brilliant. The service was also very friendly both times I’ve gone. I like the concept of it being a snack and coffee by day and a snack and drink place by night. Overall, a nice addition to the Wellington food/drink scene.
