Domino's Pizza Petone — Restaurant in North Island

23/12/21 I picked up a Vegorama and when 5/8ths of the way through it, I noticed a big piece of bacon in the box. Pork is a big deal for a Jew so I went back to the store to let them know. I showed them and they said because I had eaten more than two slices they can’t do anything.

I told them I did not feel resolved as I left and they asked what would I like for free - a more suitable response I thought! I asked for another vegorama and they declined as they said they’d packed up the makeline (they closed in 15 mins). So I asked for a refund which they declined as I had eaten more than two slices. So, seemingly without any other option, I left with my pork contaminated pizza which went into the bin unfortunately.

I feel disappointed that the blame was put onto me for having more than two slices before I saw the pork. The real problem was the pork in the vegetarian pizza. I used to work for Domino’s which hurt a little extra...

Absolutely outstanding. The guys at Petone are always friendly, prompt, and the quality is great. They actually care, and it shows. If only every takeaway franchise were this professional - and just plain nice. We went to a different Dominoes one night when we were away, and it was a completely different experience. It was exactly what you'd expect for the price, ordinary. But Dominoes Petone goes over and above, the food is good, fresh, hot, and it's incredible value. I was never a big fan of 'instant pizza' but now I'm a regular. We're too far away for delivery so I can't speak to that, but the service from online to pickup couldn't be better. Once or twice we've muddled up orders - all our fault (entered the credit card wrong), and the guys went out of their way to sort it - even apologising and re-doing our order. Outstanding service. They get my vote for best takeaway...

I am a regular customer. On sunday ordered pizza in advance to collect at 5pm. I got there early and found my pizza in the warming drawer, I took home and ate as was ok but very average. Not fresh or hot. Then I noticed on the docket it was prepared around early and was sitting in warmer for some time.

I tried to advise via the app, called the store and even emailed head office. On the day manager advised me not too order in advance order to collect asap.

I have spend a few hundred dollars at this store. Often they are good, especially if you use the extra $3 option for within 20 min delivery. But in my view they can be well below expectations too.

Not sure I would go back given the customer treatment.

Actual frontline staff are nice and place looks ok. Just in my experience food can be very average, leaving you feeling...
