Faith and Co. Petone — Restaurant in North Island

I can’t say enough good things about this lovely cafe tucked right beside my workplace. I usually grab coffee from here two to three times a week, and every single visit is a warm, welcoming experience. From the moment you step in, you're greeted with genuine smiles and kind words. The atmosphere is cozy, bright, and full of warmth. It just instantly lifts your mood, even on a not so moody morning.

Faith, the amazing lady who owns the cafe, is one of the sweetest people you’ll ever meet. She not only makes fantastic coffee herself, but she also has this incredible ability to understand what you need without you even saying it. One day, I was looking for a vegetarian sandwich, which wasn’t available on the ready shelf at the time. Without me even really asking, Faith noticed and had her chefs prepare one for me fresh—and it was absolutely delicious! Packed with proper veggies, full of flavor, made quickly, and definitely worth every penny.

The rest of the staff are just as lovely, always cheerful, welcoming, and kind. There’s one gentleman in particular who often makes my coffee, and he truly makes the best cup. Plus, he’s always so sweet and easy to talk to, which just adds to the experience.

I’ve only had the chance to sit inside the café twice, since I’m usually grabbing my coffee on the go, rushing to work. But both times, the ambiance made me want to stay longer—it's cozy, inviting, and just the kind of place you’d want to unwind in.

I came to Faith and Co Café to catch up with a friend, but unfortunately we felt rushed the entire time which made us extremely uncomfortable. Within the first five minutes, staff came over at least three times asking if we were ready to order, even though we clearly said we needed a bit more time. The third time, one of them said, “Come on, surely you guys are ready now,” which made us both really uncomfortable to order. When our meals arrived, the food was actually really nice, we both enjoyed it and it came out pretty fast. But before I’d even finished eating, a staff member came over and offered me a takeaway box, which felt like a subtle way of telling us to leave. The café wasn’t busy at all, so I’m not sure why there was such a rush to move us along. Always a fun experience to be treated like a naughty school child.

Attended with two others who both ordered coffee (which I hear was pretty average) and food. Didn’t feel like overspending on the extremely boring couple of vegan options they have so brought in few bits of sushi to eat. My mistake, should’ve eaten them outside the door then came in to sit down and still not buy anything. Owner came over to passive aggressively tell me “for next time” that they don’t allow outside food brought in because “they sell food.” If you had some more exciting options I would have absolutely bought them, love, but you definitely weren’t losing out on any money from me. No worries anyway - there won’t be a next time for you to worry about!
