I had of the best authentic Nepali food in wellington , fresh, wholesome , delicious and it had soul.
I am not a big fan of reviewing restaurants but this one totally earned it .
We ordered our food on the phone , and booked our table for 8:00 pm , strolled I’m at 8:12, and the took about 10 mins to get the starter to us
Starter - chilli potatoes ( highly recommended ) and peanut salad ( simpleton superb ). These two dishes teleported my taste buds to an indonchinese canton restaurant , I missed my old monk, to give it company it was that good . Chilli potatoes juicy yet crispy, with spring onions and capsicum , that were crunchy . Every bite a flavour bomb.
Mains- veg momos ( highly recommended) + thakali thali- the is is out of the world , the flavours rustic , earthy , vibrant , fresh , took me to the foothills of the Himalayas in Nepal , the dal had been tempered with desi ghee , the paneer was filled with umami , the chutney and spice condiment were nothing I had tasted before, very different and interesting . It had a potato dish , and a cauliflower, and a green spinach , all felt like they were home made, fresh from a mother’s kitchen . Came with lassi and sweet which very cooling and refreshing .
My family ordered - American chouosey , manchurian and veg momos. My son could not stop eating them… 🥰🥰🥰
I could tell they had given attention to every component on our plates and had taken their time . Portion sizes were big and we had to pack them home for lunch next day
Look without a doubt this restaurant is a must visit and we can’t wait to go back again .

Read moreInitially services was great, the young lady seated us, brought water while we mused over the menu. We ordered a lamb dish and 3 chicken dishes, only to hear (I can only assume he was the duty manager, say to the waitress there is no lamb, only chicken) so she tells us this and we order another chicken dish. We also a garlic naan and a garlic and cheese naan. We waited, and waited. Heard, the 'duty manager' say to the waitress that there is no garlic. Fine, they haven't said anything to us so they must have only just run out. One of our part wanted his own garlic and cheese naan, so he went to add it to the order. Meanwhile, DoorDash is going crazy guns! Might this be why they have run out of lamb? Or are they saving the lamb for their DoorDash clients? We had all the time in the world to think about this, dinner took around 40 minutes before we could eat. When we got our dishes, we were told there was no garlic so they have given us a plain naan and 2 cheese naans. Don't get me wrong, the food was great but just a note to Everest staff - if someone orders an item and you know very well you can't provide, say so at the time of order, otherwise customer shouldn't be charged for it. I believe Everest were looking after their online clients, Everest, you should order enough ingredients to cater for in-diners and delivery clients or just shut one...
Read moreI considered leaving no review of our experience at this restaurant, but my wife insisted that it is equally necessary to provide feedback so that the establishment is aware of it and, ideally, improves. The business won't know if we don't share our thoughts and feelings, so here it is. Unfortunately, we didn't have a very good experience. The restaurant is ok, and the service was decent, but the food was awful. The Nepalese dish we ordered isn't even remotely Nepalese. It was packed with vibrantly colored food and Indian spices. It didn't look or taste good or Nepalese at all.
Although there are some Nepalese culinary options on the menu, I had the impression that I was going to an Indian restaurant. If I want to dine at an Indian restaurant, I will go to one that serves delicious Indian food rather than one that serves a variety of cuisines. Instead of generalizing and cramming several countries and cuisines into one, our recommendation here would be, focus on one specific cuisine and be...
