The best Tonkotsu (pork) ramen is in the Fukuoka area of Japan, but I think that the best Tonkotsu/pork ramen in Wellington, is the Chashu ramen from this shop, although it has a very mild pork taste compared to Fukuoka ramen. It's a shame that we need to throw all the plastic bowls into the rubbish bin - it would be nicer to use reusable...

Quiet place hidden away in an alley, very friendly staff and reasonable prices. While you might not get as much chicken in your katsu than other places, the quality of it makes up for it - you'd be hard pressed to find chicken as good as this in dedicated restaurants. 100% coming here again next...

I took some sushi to go, walking through the James Cook Arcade (passage between Lambton Quay and The Terrace). I must say it’s a hidden gem close to my work to fix my sushi cravings.

I would make sure to come back again to try the other offerings.
