They have recently just opened, replacing where Rajdhani was on Jackson Street. We enjoyed a lovely evening just before the rain set in! I personally could not have yogurt but our foodies had their mango lassi, and said it was one of the best they've had, super creamy and rich, perfect to go with the curry! We started our meal with onion bhaji, there were 5 pieces, they were not covered in excessive coating nor flour, some of us loved the chutney but others preferred the yogurt sauce. There were lots of curry I don't usually see on a menu, so we decided to try a variety. We shared the palak paneer (spinach curry), kaju chicken curry (good substitute for butter chicken or chicken korma lovers) some of us could tolerate spicier curry (unlike me) so went for the chicken Rogan Josh. We also tried Desi chicken medium, mainly cos I have never seen it before. we also shared a variety of naan, the whole table unanimously agreed that the best flavour was the Peshawari, which was filled with fragrant coconut flakes, raisins and nuts, kind of sweet and went beautifully with the curry! Highly recommended! The chicken biryani definitely had a spice level that even some of our stronger foodies struggled. We finished our meal with the kesar kulfi, which was like pistachio ice cream with a hint of mint, it was very refreshing and a palate cleanser. We loved how we could see all the spices used inside the curry, felt like it was made with love, definitely one of the better Indian places we had visited, huge space so ideal for functions, and they also do cheap lunch deals so come give them some love!

Went to spice Valley as was craving some Indian food and we had seen that this new restaurant had recently opened in petone. So hubby and I went to try the food, we ordered chicken Manchurian soup which was so good We ordered chilli garlic chicken which was yummy And for the main we ordered goat biryani and kadai chicken..the food was really good and the quality was very reasonable. The food is also very reasonably priced. We also went last weekend to have the unlimited buffet food and the pani poori was absolutely perfect finally I have found a place that does decent pani poori. Thank you for bringing delicious food to welly. Will be visiting you guys more often. We also ordered their Matka Chicken and it was so succulent and yummy. Thank you 😊

I’ve been to Spice Valley four times and loved it every single visit. The menu is so big it feels like you need a treasure map to navigate it, massive vegetarian choices plus all the favorites from biryani to butter chicken. Everything I’ve tried has been packed with flavor and utterly delicious. The place itself is huge, with booths and wide open spaces. Honestly, it’s big enough to host a belly dancer (not that they have one… yet 👀). Instead, the food does all the performing, authentic, vibrant, and guaranteed to leave you applauding your plate. Highly recommend, Spice Valley is a real gem in Petone!

I ordered a takeaway from here on a Monday evening. Staff were pleasant when I came in to collect my order. I had ordered online for pickup & was given the time of 15-20minutes before the order would be ready. It took a little longer than this but still got my order within 30minutes of ordering. I had the shahi paneer, chilli garlic potatoes, garlic paratha, and masala buttermilk. Everything had heaps of flavour, I especially loved the chilli garlic potatoes & would definitely recommend trying these. I ordered the chilli garlic potatoes medium but would recommend going hotter if you want more of a kick as they tasted pretty mild to me. The shahi paneer was a little sweet but still really nice, I ordered the medium, but again, would probably go hotter if you want more of a kick. The garlic paratha was excellent as well, not a huge portion but probably fairly priced. I have not seen the masala buttermilk on other menus so was pretty intrigued to try this, huge amounts of flavour and was a very good...

I think i've got the right place, I watched the video and it does look correct. Anyways, my dining companion and I went there yesterday and we had the lunch special. We arrived around 2pm and the restaurant had dealt with the lunch rush, so there was only us. I am quite boring and i tend to stick to the same dish: butter chicken. Companion had the lamb. We also had Ginger Beer. Sorry, we ate our meals and then realised we should've taken photos. The food came out beautifully presented with Roti and rice. My butter chicken had a smoky flavor and was more spicier than I expected for mild, but I loved it! I enjoy how Indian restaurants all have their different takes on the same dish, and this one was different again from what I've tasted. The meal was delicious and we will definitely head back there again! The restaurant was spacious and well-appointed. The service was impeccable and welcoming. Thank you,...
