Fergburger, one of the most touristy food joints in New Zealand. I came here with lots of cynicism and expectations. âIt couldnât possibly be as good as what everyone is sayingâ but after eating it, it damn well does live up to expectations. We came here in the evening and queued about 20-30 minutes total for our orders, which we took back to our Airbnb to feast on. Note: this place only does takeout, however you can dine in the tables at the premise though there is no table service. I ordered the Ferg Deluxe and tried a few bites of both the Cock Cajun and the Sweet Bambi. The Ferg Deluxe is absolutely delicious and I am saying it as someone that does not like a classic burger. (I prefer smashed ones, ones with brioche buns etc.) The beef was tender beyond beeflief and so, so juicy, the bacon was crispy, vegetables were fresh and crisp and sauce had just the right amount of tanginess to it. Every bite had the perfect amount of beef, bacon, cheese, vegetables, sauce and burger bun and eating it did not completely destroy the burger making it overly messy like some burgers Iâve had. The Cock Cajun offered juicy and tender chicken cooked with Cajun spices that had a smoky flavour which I really enjoyed. The lemon yoghurt sauce was also very enjoyable and paired super well with the chicken. I did not really like the Sweet Bambi though but this is because I did not like the taste of deer. It did not taste gamey at all though and I am sure there are people that would enjoy it. These are also quite huge burgers for a very good price and of the 3, my personal favourite was actually the Cock Cajun. This place does live up to the hype and you should definitely try it if you are in Queenstown!

Indulging in the late-night feast at Ferg Burger in Queenstown was an unforgettable experience. These burgers were nothing short of amazing, and the perfect late-night treat! Firstly, the variety of options on the menu was astounding. From classic beef burgers to inventive vegetarian choices, there was something to satisfy every craving. Their signature Ferg Burger with prime New Zealand beef, cheese, and an array of fresh toppings was a mouthwatering delight. The flavorful patty was cooked to perfection, and the ingredients were exceptionally fresh, resulting in a burger that was simply divine. What truly set Ferg Burger apart was the quality and attention to detail. The buns were soft and toasted to golden perfection, adding a delightful crunch to each bite. The condiments were thoughtfully selected and complemented the flavors in a harmonious way. It's safe to say that the culinary expertise and passion that went into crafting these burgers were evident in every aspect. Furthermore, the atmosphere at Ferg Burger was buzzing and lively, providing the perfect backdrop for a late-night culinary adventure. The late hours meant we could savor our burgers under the starry Queenstown sky, which added to the magic of the experience. Whether you're a tourist or a local, Ferg Burger is a must-visit for anyone in Queenstown. These late-night burgers were more than just a meal; they were a culinary masterpiece and an essential part of the Queenstown experience. If you find yourself in this charming New Zealand town, be sure to indulge in the late-night delight that is Ferg Burger â it's a gastronomic adventure you won't want to miss! đđ

I'll write this review firstly with facts so you can form your own opinion before I give my own opinion at the end. I was recommended Fergburger because it's world known as being a very good burger. The prices aren't extortionate for something that's rated so highly too. I went in the afternoon and ordered a shake. I ordered the shake and then was told to go next door to where their gelato section is to pick it up. When I got there I was told to go back to the burger bar because that's where you can collect it. Okay... Confusing miscommunication between places. I told the cashier and then waited patiently. After five minutes I queued and eventually asked the cashier again who said not yet. I then waited patiently for another 10 minutes and repeated the cycle, this time being told it would be two more two more minutes. Again I was confused because the worker said it's already in the blender when I was at the gelato section. Regardless of this I went back and sat down and in that time I was reading the reviews on the wall about how Ferg loves you. Didn't feel like it at this point! After another five minutes (20 minutes total for a shake) I skipped the cashier queue, went to the burger collection and asked about my shake to which they looked surprised because it had been there for so long which they knew. They said I should have come up and I said I had. They said you just got to keep coming up like it was my fault. I said I had come up to the cashier several times to which they said sorry that they're new. I can understand this but it doesn't help with my frustration at the situation. I enjoyed the shake which was lovely and came back later for the burger... I'd heard that is better to order on the phone so you don't have to queue. I started calling at around 6pm and called 16 times in the space of 20 minutes, just trying to get through. Either it didn't connect or went to answer machine which disconnects you. When I did finally get an answer they were quick and did help quickly and told me to come in in 15 to 20 minutes which was quick to be fair. I came in after 20 minutes just to make sure I didn't have to wait. I was met immediately, collected, paid and left seamlessly. The server was very friendly. For the food, the bun (homemade from the bakery?) wasn't a bun. It was more like a roll which to me is not a burger bun. The tofu was lovely and the sauce was plentiful but everything else was just good. The fries appeared homemade and were nice but nothing special. The Wasabi mayo was a hit. Overall was it worth all the hype for me no. But I wouldn't say no to eating it again. I would just have a friend go through the hell of trying to acquire food there so that I don't have to! Keep in mind that if I hadn't ordered on the phone I would have had to have waited longer in the queue because the queue is about 10 people deep when I went to pick up my burger at around half past six. As others say though, the queue moves fast. Worth it? Nah.

So much local hype about Fergburger; visit the center of Queenstown and you are sure to hear - and see- that this is one of the best. And really, the hype is more than local; this burger joint has a global reputation as one of the best, but isn't a burger just a burger? No. No, this is a standout. I was skeptical - is it worth the line, I wondered. Well, it turns out it is worth the line and in fact, I would cast my vote for this burger as the best in the world. The star of the show is the patty, as it should be. Perfectly seasoned, juicy and flavorful, this is prime beef. The bun is big and soft but it doesn't dominate. Fresh lettuce and tomatoes with delicious aioli, perfectly sliced onions and those pickles!! This is truly an exceptional burger. It's a small place, with very limited seating. Always crowded with a line down the block, but the line moves quickly. Twice I've been told my order would take 15 minutes and both times it was actually ready in just 5 minutes. Both times I ordered a side - fries once, onion rings the second. While the fries were delicious, I couldn't eat them and ended up throwing them away. The onion rings I brought home, as I thought they may keep better. Understand, I'm a hearty eater with a big appetite; it says a lot that I couldn't finish my meal. I also visited the bakery once and enjoyed a steak & cheese pie, which was also delicious with a flaky crust and again, very filling. In my opinion, this must be the best burger in the world. Yes, Fergburger is worth it.

The FergBurger Hype is Insane. So I knew From the Start what to expect. The Unexpected....Or Mediocrity. The Latter is Closest to the Truth. Letâs talk Burger. As I missed my Opportunity my Previous visit The First place I Ran to is this Joint. The Signs on the Wall where Actually âthe Sign on the Wallâ. HYPE. The Meat on the burger Is High Quality. The Bun is nothing Special. The Greens & Onions fresh and Delish. The Cheese is Hidden and the Bacon Skimped on. Overall this Burger is Basic. And desperately needs Seasoning. Sea Salt and Cracked Pepper would Upgrade the Fair Substantially. Anybody know Lawrysâ. I Do and I Miss it. The onion rings are Fresh Cut and Quite Crunchy... but the Grease factor is high. The Shake was Runny with not Enough ice cream added so it Was basically a cookie cream Milk. Not a Proper Thick Shake. Why this place is not NZâs most Famous Chain is a mystery. You might as well Expand because Itâs not that Special. Overall this joint doesnât come Close to Americaâs chain Best. Fatburger or In and Out are Not only superior but way Less Expensive. Now the Staff, Exhausted by the Asian Influx they were anything But attentive. I was treated like The Number I was. Even after Trying to be Engaging I was Shutdown. One minute I am Told âKiwisâ are very âShyâ and The next minute Iâm treated Arrogantly and Ignored. So How do I break the code? Bleach My Skin like Mike? I think not. And I may never *Return to this âParadiseâ. *shoutout âWeather Report and Chick Coreaâ
