Their deep dish pizza is not actual deep dish pizza. It’s just their regular crispy thin crust dough pressed into a deeper dish pan! 🤦‍♀️😆 I’m from the region of the US that invented deep dish pizza, so I’ve eaten many variations of it. I also ate at the two pizza joints that claim to have first invented deep dish pizza. And yet I’ve never seen anyone press thin crust dough into a deep dish and call it “deep dish pizza” because that’s not the definition of it. It’s supposed to be a totally different dough that bakes up to form a physically thick base crust, and thus requires a deep dish pan to not overflow while baking. Now I know how Italians must feel when they eat any “pizza” in the US. All that aside, it was decent for thin crust pizza, although it’s lacking in flavor, as is every local pizza place in Queenstown compared to pizza in the US and Italy.

Great pizza! Got the four cheese with added pepperoni. The base was delicious hand rolled dough in a wood fired oven. Generous amounts of cheese on the pizza, lots of blue cheese, yum! Parmesan shakers on the tables for extra points! Curly fries were perfectly cooked and a very generous portion with both tomato sauce and aioli on the side. The service from the foreign girl/manager was friendly, relaxed and warm. It's a really cool atmosphere, it's also a pub with pool tables if you want a game while you wait for dinner - but our food came out very quickly, although it wasn't very busy since we were quite early in the evening. I Spoke briefly to the cook who seemed to take a lot of pride in her work. Great spot for a big pizza at a reasonable price.

Visited here on a Saturday evening and the place was pretty quiet with only 2 other tables occupied. The ambience looked like this place was a make shift night club (which it turns out, is true). The decor is more like that of the London underground (tube station). That did not impact the quality of the food though. We ordered a half and half pizza with vego and chicken (extra $4 for half and half) and a 13 inch upgrade with the total around $35.00 which was good enough for 2 adults. The pizza base was crispy and soft and you could tell it was made fresh. They were generous with the toppings too. Overall, a good place to satisfy your pizza cravings. There was a kids menu too.

My recent visit to London Underground Pizza Bar was an absolute delight and exceeded all expectations! If you're looking for an unforgettable experience in Queenstown, this place is a must-add to your itinerary.

Culinary Excellence: Authentic Italian Pizza by Chef Nico

Let's talk about the pizza first – it's simply the best authentic Italian pizza I've had in London! The star of the show is undoubtedly their pizza chef, Nico. Originally from Chile, her talent is truly remarkable. You can taste the genuine passion she puts into every single pizza; each bite is a testament to her skill. Beyond her culinary genius, Nico is also incredibly personable, often engaging with guests, which adds such a wonderful touch to the dining experience. Highly recommend her creations!

Bar Magic: Cocktails Crafted by Victor

The excellence continues at the bar! The entire bar staff is fantastic, but a special shout-out has to go to the bar supervisor, Victor. This Brazilian mixologist is a true artist! He crafts amazing cocktails that are both creative and perfectly balanced. Not only does he whip up incredible drinks, but he does it all with a beautiful, welcoming smile. His expertise and friendly demeanor really elevate the bar experience.

London's Hottest Latin Dance Night!

And just when you think it can't get any better, it does! Every Saturday evening, London Bar transforms into Queenstown’s best Latin Dance night. The atmosphere is electric, the music is fantastic, and it's truly the perfect place to let loose and dance. Whether you're a seasoned dancer or just want to soak in the vibrant energy, this is the place to be for a fun Saturday night out.

In summary: If you're seeking top-tier authentic Italian pizza, expertly mixed cocktails, and the most lively Latin dance night in London, make sure to visit London Underground Pizza Bar. You won't be...

how our experience at the london went:

walked in to a somewhat quiet night @7:25pm got seated at a nice booth - but as it got later, the outside air got colder and, we were unfortunately positioned parallel to the entry stairs. cold air was funnelling our way. ordered drinks... cosmo was 80% vodka... then order our food... I asked our waiter if the pizza bases were sourdough (didn't state on the menu, but wanted to check to be sure) waiter didn't understand what sourdough meant so grabbed a chef... they walk over, unamused. i ask - "are the pizza bases sourdough" they reply (almost disgusted that i asked) "no" I then say "okay ill just get a gluten free base then" I then explain my dietary restrictions to which the chef replies, bluntly, and arrogantly "there's a whole lotta gluten in that". said chef goes back to their station and tells the other chef, points at us then, they both glare over at our table like it was a sin to ask???? 8:10pm the bell is rung by a chef as our pizzas are ready (keep in mind it's a tuesday night, you could hear a pin drop). the waiter? on his phone behind the counter...5 minutes pass...10 minutes pass... he strolls over to the bench, engages in a lengthy conversation (which could've been had at a different time... but hey, it's just the customers food getting cold, who cares?!) and slowly but surely brings us our arguably cold pizzas. everything was bland and lacked love to be honest. which is... very disappointing for "queenstowns #1 pizza" place. we were also billed incorrectly and went back to which the 'system' was at fault......

Amateur business who dares serving "carbonara" with chicken, cream and mushroom for $17. Amateurs DJs who arrive an hour and a half after they're supposed to start as advertised. But also, forget to turn off their laptop notifications sound, and can play twice in a row the same music ! (like literally, in the row.) But that's only fair, since they're actually getting drunk while they're playing. I don't know where you guys got your qualifications but maybe you should google how to manage a business or how many hours are the employees supposed to have between two days of work (yeah I doubt that finishing at 5.30am to start again at 12pm is legal). While you're there, maybe take a chance to google "What is a Sicilian Pizza" before lying to your customers and taking their money. That's what I call being a thief. Also, please learn how to cut limes and lemons, because they actually look like a 3yo cut them. One last thing just for your own knowledge, if you put the Italian flag on the poster for Latino night, People might expect Italians songs, rather than South American. The pool table is free due to the shocking state of the felt and...
