The Good Spot — Restaurant in South Island

I sort of stumbled across this place while visiting the bike shop next door. I can only thank the lord for that flat tyre I had which forced me to the bike shop that morning. While in the repair stand I thought I'd get a snack. I'm partial to a scone, I won't lie.

Cheese scones are so tasty here: Like wow. I tried one and I was like WHAAAT! Are you serious Good Spot! Butter melting out the sides Yeah I'm salivating writing this review.

I went to the Good Spot last week on Friday morning. Ordered a coffee and a scone and both were delicious! The scone won an award 12 months ago for the 'best scone in Wanaka'. I went back the following Sunday and ordered the same! sustainable drinking coffee options with lots of different sizes of cups. I drink a small flat white so I kindly asked the lady if I could grab a smaller coffee cup from the back. The coffee and scone came out within a few minutes of me being there. Such a good atmosphere, good vibes and very friendly staff!

The best caramel latte coffee ever! Thanked the barista who made it and ordered a second to-go when we visited. Bringing your own reusable coffee cup is preferable instead of using the takeaway cups, and dining in to use their quirky mugs and plates. After dining, there’s a small area to wash your mugs and put plates in the dirty bin. We ordered the 2xBacon Butty.
