Potsticker is an all-around Chinese restaurant with a specialty in Shanghai or Suzhou cuisine I’m not really sure. I ordered Sichuan Spicy Wonton In Red Oil ($13.8). FYI Wonton grows from different regions have their own unique characteristics. And don’t get intimidated by red oil. They are just chilli oil with a touch of Chinglish. It’s a good sign meaning food here is authentic.
Ordering I order and pay at the counter first. Seems you can pay after the meal too. No table number stand, just grab a seat and wait.

Water & Napkins Water is self-service. They also have free red tea. (Flexing my Chinglish) Napkins are on the table.
Food - 7/10 Apparently Sichuan food is not their specialty, I should have ordered some Shanghai wontons (the one without region name). All Sichuan wontons stick together morphing into a huge pork Cheung Fun. The chilli oil is average too. The flavour is not too bad. It’s just I recommend order something else, something more Shanghai or Suzhou.
Service - 9/10
Another thing I need to mention is during lunchtime this place gets very busy. You see, this place is SPACIOUS and when it gets busy that’s A LOT OF sensory input. So be prepared my autistic readers if you are interested in visiting this restaurant.

Read moreAwesome awesome Chinese food in the heart of the city. So many to choose from and very good prices. If you want a meal that is around $15, look no further. The same menu applies to lunch and dinner time. Service is good and good is served fast plenty seat. No free parking though..but this is nonetheless very popular with office workers during weeks days and anyone who lives in the city. They open every day. This restaurant has proper Chinese dishes or dishes that comes in a set with rice or noodle if you don't want to order the dish on its own. TOP CHEAP EATS IN THE AUCKLAND CBD. Often i can eat between two people for $30 and be leaving full!!!
In the fish fillet in chilli oil, 3The fish fillets are generous in size and the amount of fish fillet is so much compared to other stores. The soup is on the spicy side though so keep this in mind if you are considering of ordering this dish. Plenty of bean sprouts which compliment the fish well inside.
The xiaolong bao is different to other places, there is more flavour in the soup than other places, rather more of a soy flavour which is delicious.
The service is as expected for a cheap restaurant. Ordering is via written form in which you put down your order on a paper with a pencil.
The atmosphere is a regular setting as expected.
