Only come to this cafe if you want poor service and the wrong order. Friends and I checked out the cafe yesterday morning as we haven’t been back to the cafe since it used to be mossimo’s. We wrongly chose to go to the cafe. It was 10am and only four other tables full so we thought we’d receive decent service as it was quiet. We were very wrong. We ordered two tropical storm smoothies and an oat milk latte small. What we received after waiting 20 mins for our order was completely the opposite, we received two green smoothies instead and a macchiato with normal cows milk. We complained to the manager in case they read the table number wrong and gave us someone else’s order. But, no we were told the smoothie was a mix and they didn’t have the ingredients to make the tropical one. Which I said why did you go ahead with the sale if you knew you couldn’t make what was asked the manager said “oh I just made what I wanted” if they had the courtesy to ask whether we wanted an alternative it would’ve been fine. The issue we had with the coffee was that one of my friends was severely allergic to dairy and we asked whether was oat milk in the coffee and the manager said yes however couple hours later, my friend was crippled in the bathroom due to the coffee having normal milk in it. We asked whether we could have a refund as we weren’t happy with the service of food that was provided. The Manager’s response was nothing. She just walked away the constant arguing to the other employee who obviously did not know what she was doing on the coffee machine was evident that we were in for a long wait from the start, my friends and I work in hospitality ourselves and so we believe everyone should be treated with great service. From top to bottom one of the best cafes in New Zealand. Not only can you get a greatest-hits of kiwi cafe kitchen brunch or cabinet pastries, but you can so in style. I cannot get over the decor, or the pottery mugs, or the earthy textures of clay and rust and wood that make this cafe so exceptional.

The real jewel is that they have not one but four coffee roasts to pick, which they roast fresh in house. Truly an espresso lovers paradise.

Note that even though the selection of coffee roasts contains the flavour profile, it doesn’t mention the beans’ origin. Not really a consideration for most cafe goers but...

Lovely coffee, roadted on the premises, my husband found a coffee he likes that he enjoyed, he had 2 cups, he doesn't like barrista coffee. The young guy behind the counter suggested an organic type hubby liked it so much that he even bought some ground coffee. The young people behind the counter were so happy in their job, it filtered through to their patrons. The food was hundred percent delicious I had Shrimp soup yum was absolutely beautiful highly recommend this lovely happy fabulous. The chef helped us with the parking machine with no hassles and very happy to do so. We need more people like...
