Walking into this restaurant, I had high hopes for a delightful dining experience. However, my excitement quickly turned to disappointment as I encountered the restaurant's rude and disrespectful staff.
From the moment I entered, the waitstaff greeted me with a condescending demeanor that left a sour taste in my mouth. Their lack of professionalism and disregard for basic courtesy was evident throughout my entire visit.
Not only did they fail to provide attentive service, but they also seemed annoyed and inconvenienced by my presence. It was as if I was an unwelcome guest in their establishment. The waitstaff's disinterested attitude and dismissive gestures made me feel like I was inconveniencing them by merely being there.
Moreover, when I requested assistance or had questions about the menu, their responses were curt and unhelpful. It was clear that they had no interest in ensuring a pleasant dining experience for their patrons. Instead of offering recommendations or providing any sort of guidance, they appeared more interested in rushing me through my meal.
What struck me the most was the blatant disrespect exhibited by the staff. They made snide remarks and rolled their eyes when approached with requests or concerns. This level of unprofessionalism is simply unacceptable in any service-oriented establishment.
The poor service overshadowed any positive aspects of the restaurant. The food, although decent, failed to compensate for the rude treatment I received. It's disheartening to see a potentially great dining experience tarnished by such appalling behavior from the staff.
In conclusion, I cannot recommend this restaurant due to the abhorrent conduct of its staff. A restaurant's success is not solely determined by the quality of its food, but also by the level of customer service it provides. Sadly, this establishment falls short in that regard. It's a shame to see potential wasted on such...
Read moreOverall Rating: 9/10 A lovely Vietnamese street food restaurant that’s well worth a visit.
Crispy Pork Banh Mi — 5/5 Absolutely awesome. This is probably the most authentic and delicious banh mi I’ve ever had. The bread is perfectly crunchy, and the pork cubes are incredibly crispy. Pair that with refreshing pickled carrots, fresh spring onions, coriander, a sweet and sour sauce, and a liver paste (I think). Every bite is just prefect and enjoyable!
Beef Pho (Rice Noodle Soup) — 3.5/5 It’s good, but the portion might feel a bit small for an adult. The broth is clear and flavorful, with fresh beef and chewy beef meatballs. A qualified pho at all.
Vietnamese Iced Coffee — 4.8/5 Authentic and good. The coffee is sweet, uplifting, and captures the classic Vietnamese flavor. The only reason it lost 0.2 points is that there was a bit too much ice. If you have a sweet tooth like me, give it a try.
Anyway, if you’re in a rush during lunch, grab a Vietnamese iced coffee and a crispy pork banh mi. It’s quick, satisfying, and...
Read moreThe food is good, but the main reason I go to a Vietnamese place is for Vietnamese iced coffee. The first time I got an iced coffee here, the cup was filled entirely with ice (pictured) and so with little actual coffee. So next time, when I ordered I asked for less ice. When I received my coffee, as you can see in the photo, ONE THIRD of the cup was empty. When I asked about this, they said it was because of me asking for less ice.
This is genuinely absurd. Often when other establishments offer less ice in drinks, they charge an extra 50c or $1, which I would have been happy to pay for less ice in my coffee. But to reduce the amount of drink I payed for by one third is insulting.
Please offer an option for less/little ice for an extra minimal charge, like any other similar restaurant or cafe. Your current practise with your iced coffees is ridiculous. I’m still so shocked I was charged full price for my coffee with the cup so empty, it’s very...
