TOTO PIZZA — Restaurant in Waitematā

Pretty bad experience for a top rated Auckland restaurant. We booked a lunch, haven't received any confirmation so tried the phone which no one answered for 2 days. When we came in for lunch we realised why - the place is deserted during lunchtime, one chef and one waitress. We could hear phone ringing in the background and no one answering. When it came to food - a total and utter disaster. The entrées were cold, tasteless and simply too small even for entrée size. The mains took over an hour to arrive, and again tested just like limp, re-heated meals from last night. The shells stunk (not sure what the story was with those) and were cold as if they were cooked open previously then stored in the fridge waiting to be served on the plate.

We have allocated an hour for lunch as we all had to go back to work. Since the two courses took well over 1.5 hours we simply didn't have any time left for deserts or coffee.

Having had a very enjoyable family dinner in the past there, I haven't been to Toto for some time and this lunch was something I planned for others to enjoy and remember with fond memories what Italian food can offer, but if you're after a nice upmarket place for lunch with food to enjoy - avoid Toto...

Today I had really horrible experience in shop while picking food. I will never go this shop again. I m badly upset by staff behavior with me. He even don't try to listen right thing.

I got 2 uber pickup from Toro pizza. One staff gave me first order in 1 minute and told me it take 2 minutes for second one. While waiting I was looking menu and put my thermal bag on table. After couple of minutes one asian staff point me and said go other side when I was looking menu. I didn't mind and said okay. After couple of minutes I asked for second order and he started arguing with me that why did you come early. Nonstop he was arguing with me when he was totally wrong. He said that u can not put ur bag here. I tried to tell real things but he do not want to understand and said me get out from my shop twice. Even I asked to talk with his boss then he said I m boss her. Really I m upset by his horrible behavior. I request owners or directors, if u r reading this complaint please...

Went to totos last night, did not have a reservation but being a wednesday night at 9pm did not think it would be a problem. When we walked in we could see there were plenty of tables but when we asked for a table for 2 the waitress looked around the restaurant and said it would be a 20 minute wait and recommended we go down stairs to their pizza restaurant, it was late and i was hungry so we went down stairs. We waited for 10 minutes and no one turned up to serve us so we left. At this point starvation has kicked in and after another 10 mins wandering the streets for an open restaurant decided to give Totos pizza one more go, This time we were seated immediately and asked if we would like some water but unfortunately this was the last time we seen the one staff member so we left Totos for the third...
