My friend and I were so excited to try this place since we have walked past multiple times. When we finally had a chance to visit, we were greeted by one very busy girl. She looked like she had a lot of UberEats orders.
Both of us understood what it was like to be busy in hospo so we sat down. We waited for a bit and got up to order but was told she was still busy. Not a problem, we sat back down.
Not long after, came two groups of customers, who apparently had no issue being served immediately. So we thought, maybe her orders are now more manageable so we got up. She noticed that we got up but to our surprise, a third customer walked in and she took their order before ours! We were baffled and left shortly after.
We’re not sure what we did to be ignored and we truly hope this was an isolated incident but we personally won’t return. There are other friendlier restaurants to try. I personally rarely write reviews as food and taste can be subjective. However, this incident was easily preventable by simply communicating to us and the other customers.
edited to respond I was with my friend and while I didn’t stand up, she did and we both looked up at the server to try and get her attention. We were not going to yell to try and get her attention?
Yes I was “browsing my phone” and that’s because we’ve been told twice that she was busy and we understood + waited.
Yes, we left as soon as the third customer was ordering as at that point we were baffled.
The space between the seats were not far so she could have easily said “Hi guys, ready for you” or informed other customers “Sorry but these people have been waiting. Can I take their order first?”. These are simple things you could to smooth things over and communicate.
Unsure what we are supposed to do to not be forgotten especially since we had tried to order twice and had been sitting a couple steps away from the cashier waiting...
Read moreWe stopped by for dessert since the last time we tried they closed early because they sold out. The place was quite busy and there was a line, waiting for their desserts on a Thursday night. After ordering you get number, which gets called when its ready. The queue for the place is mostly people waiting for their dessert as it is made fresh in front of you. They had two main items on the menu, croffles and waffles. The croffles were essentially croissants cooked in a waffle pan, while their waffles were Korean style. Both had a series of different toppings to pick from. They also do a series of drinks and soft serve. The place is mostly take away but there is a small bench by the window which can fit about 5 people. We happened to get our waffles just as someone was leaving so we were able to enjoy it there. Both the croffle and the waffle were really nice. The croffle was nice but wasn't as crispy as the waffle. Both were delicious and really nice...
Read moreFantastic presentation and the croffles and waffles are super yummy. Unfortunately though, it did take almost forty minutes for our party of four to receive our order (three croffles and a waffle).
To be honest, I really felt for the two ladies working, they were preparing and packing large orders for Uber Eats delivery when we placed our order, which meant they had a backlog and were then swamped with even more customers not long after we arrived.
Despite being so busy it was starting to stress me out on their behalf, they both were so calm and collected and put heaps of care into preparing and presenting each order!
I hope you consider putting in some processes such as supplying customers with a number card or token, so you can call out the order number when ready to collect, rather than the flavour of croffle. I witnessed some queue jumping, which was frustrating some customers who had been waiting for their...
