Read moreVery disappointing experience, rude manager and lengthy wait times.
We had a booking at 7:30pm and waited 30 minutes for two drinks and a starter. After that, we waited another full hour for our mains, three dishes that arrived 10 minutes apart from each other.
Before the mains had arrived (9pm), I politely asked the manager (male with an accent) if he had any idea when our mains would be ready. His response was in an incredibly rude manner, saying, “Can’t you see you’re not the only ones here?”. I calmly replied that I could see that, and he huffed off to “check the time.” Note, they were not even full and given their staggered booking times you would think they would be able to accommodate the people they take in??…. When the food was served by a different waiter, he came over with a snarky comment, “Look, here they are.” Extremely unprofessional for such a high end place, but even then I’ve had better customer service at McDonald’s. For a supposedly high-end restaurant charging these kinds of prices, the experience was shocking, both in terms of wait times and the lack of basic courtesy from the manager ( the rest of the staff were very kind and well mannered, maybe he should learn a thing or two from them).
The food itself was overpriced, not that tasty, and cold considering the delay as the food didn’t come out at the same time. Disappointed is an understatement. I won’t be returning or recommending this place to anyone. In fact I’ll recommend people...
Read moreIf you're looking for a warm vibrant atmosphere with devine food and friendly staff. This is the restaurant for you. We were greeted and served by Michael who was such a joy to be served by. We shared a few laughs together and his recommendations were on point; his service was flawless. I was so indecisive on what to order, his thoughts on the menu were most helpful. We were offered specialty menu pairings that were not otherwise noted on the menu. The whole experience was perfect and nothing I could fault. Every bite was another experience.
We started with drinks which were made well as a frequent cocktail drinker, they went down with ease. With this I enjoyed a side of Smoked Trevally Toast Lemon Parsley Toast which completely took me by surprise at how the flavours danced in my mouth. I followed this with a few Beer Battered Oysters and Sriracha Aioli. The main course was a mix pair of main and entree sides, all mentioned personally by Michael.
This was the Green Goddess Salad with Macaroni Cheese, Ham Off The Bone, Truffle, Parmesan Crust and Korean style fried chicken (unsure where that was on the menu). Ended this feast with the Snickers Sundae, Peanut Butter Foam, Torched Nougatine, Dulce De Leche and an Espresso Martini.
Overall, if you've been planning to visit for a special occasion, or any occasion, just do it already. You'll regret not having...
