Worst Reception EVER received. It was my friend's birthday and we all decided to chill and hang out since it was a Friday night. Only to be turned down at the gate because we didn't have 'reservations' We called one of their numbers to try to see if we could make the reservation but Mubarak specifically told us that they do not take reservations after 10 o'clock but that we (my friends and i) could come in. So we went back to the bouncer at the gate- Victor and told him we had spoken with Mubarak. He asked us to call Mubarak which we did and I made sure to put the phone on speaker (couldn't wait to see the drama unfold). Mubarak asked to speak to him and since it was on speaker we heard the conversation that ensued when Mubarak asked if we were up to their standard at which point Victor specifically said we were not. We left immediately after that to save ourselves from further embarrassment.
Which begs the question - Please what are your standards?
Do we have to wear high heels and paint our faces beyond recognition to get into your restaurant?
We just wanted to have an enjoyable evening with the birthday girl.
Thank God there are other places in Lagos that do not judge a book by its cover.
Please trust that we would not be patronising you ever...and we will spread the word that yours is a...
Read moreThis is a very fun place to hangout after a very hard day's labour. Good ambience with great music. The environment is cozy with enough to eat and drink. Located at the very centre of the business district - Akin Adesola Street in Victoria Island, it is a venue of choice for hangouts, meetings and some pure indulgence. It is a popular hangout for business executives and business leaders looking to network and hopefully close some big deals. The accessibility to the business district makes it a bar of choice for everyone.
The only challenge that I noticed is the unavailability of parking spaces. Not only are the gatemen rude, they do not even try to help you secure a parking spot. You may end up parking kilometres away and walking down to the location. So it is best you get a driver, chauffeur or get a taxi to take you there. It's been given a face-lift which gives it a better look and feel and generally makes the facility look better. Hopefully other people will not experience what I have gone through. The drinks were amazing. I absolutely loved my virgin cocktail. The service was timely and the attendance was courtious. The peanuts were delicious as they were part of the cocktail. Apart from the delaying parking space I would...
Read moreThe worst experience I have ever noted in a bar in Lagos. The service here is terrible. Attended a friend's birthday party. Although I was allowed to go in for the party, some other friends were almost embarrassed. The bouncers insisted that the manager must authorize the entry of guests even after the celebrant was called to identify them which almost led to drama....One of the management guys came and didn't help matters. There was rudeness written all over their faces...Like one other reviewer posted, they size up people before being allowed into their bar without any reason or written rule. There is nothing spectacular about the bar..No parking, pricey drinks, bad service, etc..Please don't go there if you intend to invite friends for a hangout or party.. There are better places around the bar's location where you can relax and party with your friends...
